Since when are cowbells banned by the NCAA? I thought that was an SEC rule. Some lady with her official credentials just came by and told me that, if I ring my cowbell, she will have to confiscate it

This has been a rule in ncaa tourney play for decades.

Also banned: fan friendly experience. I know they didn’t build it for super regionals only, but we arrived over an hour before the game and general admission had no place to actually watch the game. I would have been willing to pay for chairbacks, but could not find 4 available for any price anywhere. Makes it easy for me not to come back.

What would you want them to do when they do not have the tickets to sell you?

GA tickets usually don’t come with recliners and club level service.

A few thoughts:

Build enough chairbacks for demand,
Set prices higher based on demand,
Give Bulldog Club priority based on points rather than first come first served (there were not 4 chairbacks available together the minute they were available Thursday morning),
Build the sight lines so more people with general admission tickets can actually see the game.

Barring any of those, they’ve provided me plenty of incentive not to go again.

I don’t care about either. I just want to be able to see the game. Also, I would have liked an opportunity to pay a lot more money for chair backs, but there was absolutely nowhere that a non-season ticket holder could buy 4 together. I understand as someone who cannot come to most weekends, I’m not the target audience for what they’ve built; I just find it frustrating how unfriendly they’ve made it for anyone who lives more than an hour away from Starkville.

Perhaps I didn't have a 24 on the English section of the A.C.T., but I thought my thread was about cowbells.

My bad. You’re right. Sorry for my unrelated bitching. To bring it back to cowbells, I did see some people at the game with cowbells do apparently they weren’t enforcing this rule too strongly.

If you build enough chairbacks for demand in a SR then you're gonna have 4-5k empty seats that look awful for much of the regular season. You never build a stadium in any sport big enough for every fan who might want to attend.

That’s probably a fair assessment, but it seems to me they still built it too small. Also, the tickets were apparently priced too low and not based on Bulldog club priority, so Bulldog club points meant nothing. I would have been willing to pay a lot more than face value for four chairbacks, but I was unable to find anywhere that was even an option.

Outstanding. Is there anything the board can do to convince you to do likewise?

Dude.....the Super Regional seats were earmarked when you bought regional seats. Season ticket holders, who have almost all of the chairbacks, had first dibbs at getting them. Only a few were available for purchase. I would suggest that you make friends with LFL people, but considering your demeaner, thats not going to happen.

Who the 17 stopped you from buying chair back season tickets that would have given you preference for post season. You’re a victim of your own laziness

This is exactly why season tickets should not be based on BC priority. He will only come to a few big games per year, but expects to have the best chairback seats because he’s top whatever in the BC. See the empty seats at the Hump for evidence as why this is a bad idea.

Show up 2 hours before the game and you can buy from the hawkers outside. I saw several for sale but don’t know the price.
