Just popped in to say you're lying again about this video from 2021.

"Remarks by Bayer executive Stefan Oelrich in 2021 have been shared on social media to spread the false allegation that COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are a form of gene therapy. Contrary to claims online, Oelrich was highlighting the public’s acceptance of such technological innovation as an example of how people could potentially also accept the company’s gene and cell therapies."

My aunt in her early 70s died of pneumonia in the later stages of the Covid era. It was surprising to all of us. I have no doubt that there were devastating effects from Covid measures - whether that be shutting down schools, forcing people to isolate, limiting outdoor activity or masking. Really poor management from our healthcare leaders.

Glad my family ignored most of the guidance. We’re better off for it. Heaven forbid you go get fresh breezy air and sunshine during a pandemic….

"Despite the date imprinted on the video, it was not from August 2021. The clip came from an internal Q&A for Facebook employees that took place in July 2020, back in the early days of the pandemic. At the time, COVID-19 vaccines were still months away from becoming available to the public.

More importantly, this brief video clip lacked context, and, at the time these remarks were made, Zuckerberg lacked a proper understanding of how mRNA vaccines (the type then being developed by Moderna and Pfizer) work.

Lastly, at no point is Zuckerberg heard "warning his staff not to take a COVID vaccine."

DC Draino is a POS lying troll and so are you for continually posting anti-public health half-truths because you're mad that Trump lost. The over-estimation was for ALL ages, not just children and was simply due to an algorithm that they corrected. Remember, they receive mountains of data from various sources and so it's inevitable that some of it needs to be parsed as more information becomes available. Would it have been better for them not to adjust the numbers?

This is all very confidence inspiring:

“because CDC’s algorithm was accidentally counting deaths that were not Covid-19-related”

"One data field asks if a person died “from illness/complications of illness,” and the field next to this asks for the date of death. When the answer is yes, then the date of death should be provided.

But a problem apparently arose if a respondent included the date of death in this field even when the answer was “no” or “unknown”. The CDC’s system assumed that if a date was provided, then the “no” or “unknown” answer was an error, and the system switched the answer to “yes”."

So in some cases, just checking yes for "from illness/complications of illness" triggered a Covid death (seperate from the algo issue that was corrected). What if it was a different illness? What if they had complications because they were a terminal cancer patient with a weakened immune system?

“It’s really hard to get accurate numbers,” said Glen Nowak, a former director of media relations at the CDC and co-director of the Center for Health & Risk Communication at the University of Georgia’s Grady College. “It’s not just with Covid – it happens with pretty much any infectious disease or even foodborne illnesses and waterborne illnesses, where there’s a large outbreak.”

And my favorite:

There are a few reasons for that. Healthcare providers usually report the initial data, but treating patients is a more pressing priority. Death certificates take time to complete, and the cause of death may be subject to political pressure or difficulty determining the underlying reason or reasons.

I wasn't trying to justify the mistakes, just pushing back against Growls' half-truths stating the numbers were only skewed for children and then extrapolating that into a larger intentional conspiracy about masks, mandates and money-making. They did correct the numbers when they discovered the flaw though.
