That might be in other threads that but I want to mention: why in the ever living hell was throwing the ball on that first play even an option - after the weather delay, SCs long drive, and in that environment, just hand it off there.

At the end of the half, could not believe that we just didn’t run out the clock. SC had not timeouts, the half had been a **** show on our part, and we were pinned back. Just run it up the gut a couple of times and go to the half. Instead we burned like 20-30 seconds then dropped back only to be sacked fumble.

Which is the third point - KT tends to hold onto it too long sometimes. If it’s not there on 3-4, tuck and run it. Or throw away, especially that our LT was abused last night.

Lots of penalties too, both sides.

SC is not a very good team.

The logic wasn’t all that bad. The way the game clock set up, we could afford one incompletion and still have complete control to run the entire clock out. We ran on 1st down, ran the play clock down, and elected to take one big shot and see if we could somehow steal a field goal in the drive. Had it been incomplete, we’d have kneeled down on 3rd down. When you are down 9 on the road, and you have a generational talent at QB, I understand the temptation to not want to concede a possession. It was probably a bit too aggressive though, especially leaving the LT on an island. But there was at least some logic into what we did there.

I’m watching the replay now since I wasn’t able to watch the game yesterday. SC’s first TD was ludicrous. They had absolutely no business going for it on 4th and goal from the 9, and then to get bailed out by a phantom hands to the face flag after throwing a pick is just terrible. I rewound it a couple times, and there was no hands to the face

I’m also encouraged to see that KT’s misses early on weren’t that far off. The comments on here yesterday made it sound like he was throwing it into the stands, but he missed Ragins by about a foot for an early long bomb.

It looked like KT learned a lesson. He seemed a bit shaken by the stage in the first half. He settled in and learned to trust himself and teammates. He learned noise doesn’t make you any less of a player when you settle down and do what you do. Noise is just noise. Should be a great lesson for him going forward.

Yeah, if you look to the far right of your screen you will see it. Legit call. That must be one of those "points of emphasis" things tho. Thry called it plenty

I saw our player’s arm extended upward and touching the side of the SC guy’s helmet. Now, I don’t know how the rule’s written, and if that’s a foul, my bad. But I never saw a hand in the face mask area or pushing his helmet up which is usually what is happening when that gets flagged.

I dont recall seeing hands to the face called as much as I have this seadon. But yeah thats the guy thry called it on. Had nothing at all to do with the play
