TOS has article about Ronald Delancy III having just suffered the loss of his father in February. He’s a hard hitting DB who loves football and won 3 State Championships (same team as Marcus Fleming) against tough competition.
Talk about his senior film really jumping out was also a good sign.
The culture piece is so important, and he’s a kid who’s grateful for his opportunity at Nebraska.
Also on TOS, was piece on Jimari Butler who only played one year of HS football racking up 14.5 sacks, 22 TFLs and 21 QB hurries in only 10 games.
At 6’5”, the kid is raw in all the right kind of ways.
Dawson commented on lack of experience offering one positive of not having to break old habits, but starting fresh.
I liked Butler’s film the first time I saw it and you can see the staff really trying to reshape the OLB position after a rough transition to
3-4 going back to Diaco.
Exciting to think about what kind of ceiling a kid like that has if he can get recognized as a 5.7 3-star after only one year of playing.
