Agree and made three 3-pointers over FOUR NCAA games.
I didn’t see nearly enough of Keldon or Tyler demanding the ball and taking over the game as the alpha dog this season.

Kentucky still won't have that star player. Plus we gotta replace PJ Herro KJ those 3 are better than anyone we will have on the roster next season.
I am not seeing it. We lose our entire starting line up except for maybe Hagans. Washington and Travis experience will be irreplaceable. One or more players are rumored to be transferring and none of the incoming players will be impact guys. We will make the tournament but I doubt we go very far.
I am not optimistic thats all. That does not make me a troll or Duke fan. I am a good judge of basketball talent and this is how I see it.
Maxey better than Herro and Hagans? You can't possibly say that with 100% confidence. Wasn't Hagans ranked ahead of Maxey in multiple publications?
Hate to break this news to the board: Maxey will go through Freshman growing pains like almost every other freshman has. The expectations that the fan base are putting on this kid are ridiculous.
UK will be better next season if Herro comes back. That's really the only way I see it possible. Otherwise, we'll lack a go to scorer and difference maker.
Do people realize we're losing PJ. PJ was a top 5 player in the country last season. 6'8, Clutch, go-to, 3-level scorer, and terrific defender. We won't have anything close to that next year.
As much as I like EJ....he's just not PJ.
Sure they COULD be better. If one of Johnson/Herro/Washington come back and nobody else does anything stupid. But that’s highly unlikely.
I certainly hope you are correct, but until he plays against college competition, I'll wait and judge for myself.Listen, Maxey is a MUCH better player than Hagans, these are just facts. There is literally nothing that Hagans can do better offensively than Maxey, and I believe he's a better defender too. You guys will see, I understand the skepticism, but this guy is in the upper echelon of the Calipari guards.
We do have recruits coming in. So the possibility of adding no one is zeroIf we lose Herro, KJ and PJ to go along with Reid and add no one else, the answer is no.
Assuming Quickley, Baker, EJ, and NR stays
We most definitely will be better.
Few key points,
Our recruiting class is better this year than last year.
We have far more experience (playing for Cal) than last year .
If we were to get Here back or KJ, and then we will have insanely good team .
I disagree. However I don't think we will lose a game in the Bahamas.I think we will go 4_0 in Bahamas
We can’t assume anything, and there’s no way to say unequivocally next year we will “most definitely be better.”
If you look at the threads from this same time last year, everyone was saying this year was the year.
We just don’t know.
Cal said all year "We need Nick Richards to win a title"But we most definitely was better this year than 2018 season..
Also, we weren't that far off from being the year. Again...we we're one free throw away from final four...PJ not 100% .
People act like EJ and NR was completely useless. When they weren't.
NR's advanced stat was so much better than his freshman year. I'm drooling at the idea of EJ's second season .
While this year Reid's consistency helped stablize but it was pretty obvious that EJ and NR inside presence bothered opponents more.
Like I said Herro comes back next year it'll be better team next year than this year .

2010 was the year....but ended in the elite 8Well sure, we were definitely better this year than last. No doubt about that. But also, that wasn’t hard to do. Last year we weren’t very good.
My point is just that there was a ton of talk about this year being THE year. The year we got back to the Final Four, the year we bring home #9, etc ... and obviously none of that happened. Again, we just don’t know. This year we were pretty good. I don’t think we can be so confident that we’ll definitely be better next year. Hell, we don’t even know our roster yet.
Wrong Whitney and maxey are better than herro or Keldon
Maybe. But I do know there's a contingency of fans that would commit themselves to the most optimistic outlook regarding next year's season regardless of reality.
For example, if we had Herro/Johnson replacing Maxey/Whitney instead of the other way around, some of our fans would instantly say that the Herro/KJ replacement is > than the Maxey/Whitney loss.
A narrative of positive evolutionary basketball progress dominates the outlook of many on this board. They can't bring themselves to believe the "next step" up in the ascension may not happen.
I actually don't think next year's team will be more talented. We may go farther in the tourney, due to the overall scope of college basketball potentially taking a step backward.
