I will be the first to say Rex would not make a good assistant coach. I will also say that most of the smart *** comments made are from self proclaimed Christian's levitating above us sinners. I have no love for Rex,. guess forgiveness is just a word Christians say when sounding self important. See Ya in Church...

Forgiveness is fine but you cross a line where certain jobs are not for you anymore. The four issues that make up his past should disqualify him for the job.

Like pill head rush

I don't mean to get into a pi$$ing match about which side has the most pill heads. I just have had it with Rex's "I'm a victim" shtick. Take responsibility for your own life. I don't want that guy anywhere near the program.

You can think whatever you want about Rush. Rush has nothing to do with Rex. I'm not going to comment on or defend Rush. The question was about Rex. I commented on Rex.

the majority of posters on here love to brag about their relationship with Jesus. prayers for this prayers for that, while laughing at former UK player that as made mistakes. how many of you are without mistakes or regrets? how many are without sin? it's just a very bad look for the Jesus freaks!!! See Ya in Church

it wouldn’t work for so many reasons. Fans would turn against Rex in a heartbeat. He’s even more “woke” than Cal.

Rex acted like UK was kryptonite for decades. Only when he bottomed out did he want to be associated with UK.
I never took any joy over his personal issues. But he proclaimed Cal was bound for LA during the '14 FF and it was a complete lie. He is nothing but a narcissist.

I agree with you here. I don't agree with making fun of his inability to live up to Christian expectations, while you religious types act like your behavior is beyond reproach. you may not have found joy in his failures, but many of your brothers surely did. remember Jesus is watching.

My eyes always glaze over on assistant coach threads. No one knows how good they are unless you're at practice every day, in the locker room, on the road with the players...see how they recruit in living rooms. I do think we miss Kenny Payne, but whether he'd have made much of a difference with this squad is doubtful. I thought Bruiser did a good job in the first MSU game by having the cojones to bench Boston down the stretch. I think Cal has a narcissistic personality and is a bit of a control freak. Don't think he wants strong assistants. Go back and watch some UK games from the last few seasons. When Cal goes full prima donna, watch the reaction from Payne. He glowers and does everything but roll his eyes.

Back to the OP topic, which is a troll job, I don't think Rex is right for UK.

I can't help what others do. Chapman was as beloved a player at UK ever. He chose to turn his nose up to UK fans until he was desperate. I don't want him associated with UK in way, shape, or form.

I don't either. what does that have to do with acting hypocritical to Christian standards? Nothing...
this is not addressing the posters who claim to be loving, caring, forgiving, Jesus slurping servants, while making fun of a human being that has been through rough times. I did not call you out specifically, if this hits too close to home....o'well

It doesn't but you're angry about something. Get over yourself.
