I agree with this. Also, shotgun makes a point I've been saying as well... If one game against bama "destroys his confidence" then he isn't our guy anyway, especially considering he would have Vandy next to rebound. If that happens we would just get a jump on knowing we better roll the dice on another transfer for next year until Robertson is ready.
But even if you didn't start him to "protect his confidence", what are you going to do when we play Georgia, whose defense is better than bama's? Sit him? Of course not. If he's proven to be the best option, or the other guy has proven that he is going to consistently turn the ball over, you have to make the change otherwise the TEAM could lose its confidence in you as the coach.
