All the lockdowns, social distancing and all the masks can only slow it down temporarily. They can't stop it.

At this point the only way Trump retains the presidency is by coup. What I don't understand from dyed in the wool Republicans such as yourself, is how you distrust everything in the media, and yet you don't question the circumstances nor authenticity of the most random videos and wild allegations that have all been dismissed in court, including courtrooms presided over by Trump appointees. None of the "facts" support the suspicion your claiming deserves more attention.

I think that's partly right. But it also misses important context. To begin, the conversation has already shifted to when everyone will have access to the vaccine. You can't ignore how the announcement of a vaccine began to ease some anxieties. The other part is just how the president responded to the families of those who died. Trump politicized this every bit as much as the left. Politicians make calculations, and he made a bad choice. Here's the thing, and it's as true now as it ever was, undermining the suffering of victims, no matter what they are victims of, will always come at a price. I'm not saying the left is immune, they do the same, but here they made the right choice, they seized on the anger and despair of the victims. That's essentially what Trump did in 2016, when he seized on the anger and despair of those who lost or were victims in some way of the Obama administration. So I do expect the narrative to shift some, but you should consider a little context.

If Trump can overcome the coup then it is within his power to seize all assets of organizations that knowingly propagated and supported domestic terrorism which includes the the mainstream media. At that point, along with the vaccine, the communist virus will end. I would also expect a devolution of the democratic party, which will also result in the potential extermination of racism/victimhood and a return to a country under god.

If trump fails to overcome the coup. The earliest the virus will end is probably 2025... but if the democrats take the 2 seats in the senate from the Georgia run-off the fear mongering from virus or anything else they have in the kitchen, will never end because the democratic party at that point would have sufficient power to create a one party system that will become nearly impossible to overthrow.

FWIW - I can't turn on any news source without being inundated with stories about how the virus is raging now, with infections, hospitalizations, and deaths outpacing numbers from any other time during the pandemic. I see stories of more and more areas of the country implementing stricter guidelines in an effort to keep their hospital ICU's from being overrun. None of it paints a particularly rosy picture of the situation since the election. In fact, it sounds quite dire now and has been getting worse.

I also hear stories about the vaccine and debates about who will get it first, second, next, and so on. but those stories seem to indicate that it will be Spring before we start to get out of the woods and not that this is over now that the election is over, nor will it be over on January 20th.
