Hey everyone. Scored some tickets for the game Saturday. Taking the wife and kids. 14 & 11 yr old boys and was wondering what attractions are there near or at the stadium they would enjoy. First time for any of them going so want to take in some family friendly areas. I haven't been there since Terrell Farley was playing so it'll all be kinda new for me too. Thanks!

Also, where's the best place to park?

I usually park at a meter and take my chances with a ticket, so far so good

Unity walk around 430 East stadium entrance. Get there earlier for a better spot.

The band puts on an impromptu show near the art gallery/music department building about 5pm, the percussion performance is particularly good.

The student union may be open

The campus book store can be interesting if you’ve never been

There are some kids games to play near East stadium, like pop a shot and a football throwing game and corn hole.

just my two cents for things not revolving around drinking at a tailgate. Enjoy.

There are several parking garages downtown that you can purchase a spot for in advance. I would do that if there are any still available. It makes things a lot easier. As for family friendly places to go, so long as you avoid the Railyard with its concentration of drunk college kids you are safe just about everywhere in the HayMarket. But even the outside portion of the Railyard is fine and there is a big TV screen there. I like to take my grand nephews and nieces to Brewskys in the Haymarket before a game. Lots of well behaved but still boisterous fans, good food, and a pep band usually makes an appearance. A trip to the trophy case under the stadium is also always nice. I also agree with the comment above about the unity walk. Have fun! I am jealous of all who will be at this game. I sure wish I could be there for this one.

Park at Gateway Mall early in the day and play video game and do some bowling at Round One. Then hop on a bus to the stadium right in front of the old Sears building. They’ll bring you back after the game.

Garage off P near Pinnacle. Pay 25 ahead of time. Easy walk to and from the stadium
