I have my doubts about this UK entertainment center. That Cooper drive area is already kind of a mess. UK healthcare has thousands of employees coming and going at all hours. It is already difficult for them. And those beautiful neighborhoods will be impacted a lot. I cannot imagine how this all makes sense once it gets up and running. Downtown and the Manchester area don't really need this competition. All I can hope for is that it keeps the students in that area and off the roads a little bit. UK may be a little bit too much of an influence in Lexington right now. It is getting out of balance. I just don't think we need restaurants and bars on Cooper drive. And that is coming from someone who goes to restaurants and bars every single week. My guess is this is half baked like everything else UK is doing right now. And I hope to hell JMI isn't involved. And do they get a cut?
As far as music is concerned we already have the Burl, Manchester, Gatton Park and Rupp. And a new place getting built on Leestown.
