Coolers for Regionals?

Alright I have a Yeti backpack cooler. 13 by 19 by 8. Will they allow that into the dude? I know the rule is 10 by 10 by 10 but I’m wondering how strict they are on that policy? It’s a yeti hopper backflip (looks like a backpack) . I don’t want to carry it all the way from my car just to turn around and take it back. Anyone know? Thanks!

During regular season, It depended on which security person you got. I went to 20+ games & it was always a crap shoot. My cooler is 12x10x10 soft side, so it will crush down to fit in the box they use to measure. Have seen them turn people away for slightly too big. Have also seen them let that yeti cooler that you are referring to into the game.

The boxes are a little larger than 10x10x10 (I think 12x12x12) but you're talking about a cooler that is basically twice the allowed size. I would recommend a different route.

Yea, they generally send you back to the parking lot with a Yeti just on principle alone. Dollar General has a cube Igloo hard cooler for $18 that is exactly the size of the box without a MM to spare.

The security guy that looks like Jim "The Anvil" Niedhart will bust you if he sees a soft-sided cooler being squished into the black box. I saw him escort a guy back out the gate from the plaza back to a box for a re-check. The cooler had to be squished in, and old Jim sent the guy out.

For reference, look out for this guy:

Heaven forbid we bring in nice coolers. Thanks guys, looks like I’ll be taking the airplane bottles in my pocket route. Don’t really wanna get into it with a security guard.

I have one of those that I've avoided taking because the handles on the side make it a shade over 12" wide. Good to know that it will fit.

The elderly, curly haired, colored woman in right field gate is a rule follower. I’d try to avoid her.

Does the car have a Yeti sticker on it?

Haha. YETI coolers. People fall for marketing/branding every time.

Pelican makes a superior, cheaper cooler. It's not really debatable.

RTIC, Technilce, Orca-better. With the exception of the Orca, all cheaper.

Btw,a Coleman Extreme cooler is $50 bucks.

Also, why are YETI coolers so SMALL compared to their size?

The center field gate attendants don't even make us put the igloos's in the box anymore, so many of us use them that they know they will fit.

I think you can bring in any size cooler more than 2 hours before 1st pitch...

Could be 3 hours. Rule allows those in LFL to bring in full size coolers. But I guess there’s no reason you couldn’t bring a bigger cooler 2 hours early and take it to your seat or the berm.

LOL. I'm going to need to know your age.

Old enough to know to not try anything sketchy with that gate attendant. It better fit easily in the box, and “baseball water” needs to be well covered with ice and regular water.

Do they even check the coolers at the gate? I've brought my small one in with me several times with 4 cold baseball waters and an ice pack. Its so small they don't even make me place it in the box but they do make me open it. The baseball water is in plain sight and I know they see it but I just get waved through.

They probably just thought it was your "Man Purse". Don't ask, don't tell!

You can take ANY cooler you want with whatever you want in it from 6:00-7:00 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. Nobody asks you whats in it or cares, that's the stocking times for the boxes/lockers for tomorrow. You just need to know somebody in the outfield or in one of the club levels that will store it for you. You can't pull some big arse cooler around during the games either, but you could take a small one and refill it periodically. Stocking times for the rest of the weekend are 7:30-9:30 Saturday morning and 10:30-11:30 Sunday morning. If a Monday game is necessary stocking is 2:30-3:30

Note: There will be no ice available in the clubs today; there will be for all the other stocking times. (I asked.)

Thanks. I know a few people in the outfield but I don’t want to go back and forth from my chairbacks to LFL just to refill my drink and I’m afraid my cooler will be too big to take to the chairback area. Might just bring a smaller cooler. Thanks for the solid info though!
