So I was thinking, and I'm a little bored - and yes I know what a dangerous thing that is.

Wonder if how our game is called is based on how the Duke/MSU game pans out? Think about it - if Duke wins, then they'll want UK to win, and perhaps a favorable whistle will come our way. After all - UK/Duke - how can it get any better than that, ratings wise?.

But.......if MSU were to win, that would set up a possible B10 conference title rematch between them and Wisconsin. Then, perhaps "they" would see to it that the Badgers get the calls?

Ooooooh the story lines!!

I think MSU playing a team going for 40-0 is much more interesting than Two Big10 teams playing for the title. Even in Big 10 country.

If there were any conspiracy theory it would definitely be UK vs. whoever in the title game. Wisconsin vs. MSU would be a boring game and no one would watch.

TV wants Duke/UK bad...but no, I do not think KENTUCKY will get any help. They will have to earn it, as a team should. You can read whatever you want into what I did not say in this paragraph, or left unsaid rather.

After we go undefeated there will be 95% of the country saying we were given the title because of the NBA and TV money. There will be talk that WWW had the whole thing set up with Vegas from the start. It'll be floodin down in L-Ville, can you see the tears roll down the street?

I think its easy to see that UK has worked really hard to do well this year.

Nobody except the coaches get to see how hard these guys work and I think that is the proof we all wish we could see.

To a degree we do get to see the result of their work, with all these wins..... but I think UK is honest and hard working.....and gosh darn it, that deserves a lot of respect.

I guarantee everyone in the NCAA is on their hands and knees praying for a UK/Duke final, especially after the ratings UK has pulled this tournament. A 39-0 UK and Duke in the final would likely be the highest rated title game in history. Wisconsin/MSU would be a huge flop.

The first and only thing to come to my mind regarding the refs in our game following Duke's game is this. Whoever is calling our game will not be biased either way imo, as they will have watched Michigan State get raped and screwed so badly that they will be embarrassed to be in the same building as their zebra striped predacessors, and will go out of their way to avoid favoritism.

I think the conspiracy may be Vegas paying the refs to make UK lose because if not they are going to lose Millions.

A SUDDEN DEATH situation. CBS wants duke to win. But they have to make it believable. So, terrorists break into the locker and kidnap the white platoon. They must play as duke or the president will get shot (he's at the game and also kidnapped)

What's the team to do? Luckily, Calipari is able to escape. He climbs to the top suite and karate chops the terrorists. But only after telling the terrorist CBS officials they have to give money to student athletes because Cal cares about the players. Then the white platoon stops playing but the duke players are fresh and they're actually coming back (the white platoon still played a little bad because they want kentucky to win). And then, the refs foul every one out because they're terrorists too but no one knows.

With only four players, the wildcat mascot is forced to play. And with one second left he jumps and blocks Okafors shot. And Okafor cries and coach K starts cussing and he's arrested because he was a terrorist too and erin Caliperi found out by hacking his Twitter account.

Then everyone cuts down the nets and the mascot gets up to cut and he takes off his head and it's Alex Poythress. And then there's a flashback where cal tells him to fake an injury cause he knows what's going to go down but he has to catch CBS in the act to change the system. And all while that happens it's black and white with cool jazz playing in the background because it's like oceans eleven.

And then it's all soft symphony music and we see some kid shooting basketball alone in the driveway pretending to be Andrew Harrison because the circle of life and all that.

At the end of the credits we see Pitino eating Italian food in a restaurant and someone who's gave we don't see gives him money and he says he can take them down from the inside. SEQUEL!

If UK isn't in title game, there go the ratings. A rerun of a conference championship from 3 weeks ago will be a total flop. Nevertheless, none of this will play a role with the refs. And if the refs were in Vegas pocket we woulda lost by now.

I don't know who would decide "how our game is called" but for sure CBS would not want a Big 10 rematch for the Championship ratings-wise.

If Vegas/CBS et al already have it figured out how or what it "should" be, that would be the greatest conspiracy in sports history.

After seeing the way the refs called the Gonzaga game yesterday, I have no doubt which team is going to be protected in the final 4. The NCAA might want to see a UK Duke title game, but a game between the top 2 players in running for the Wooden award would be a good story line. Imo no one wants UK to win. Hopefully our Cats are good enough to win 8 vs 5.

Vegas needs UK to lose.
CBS would prefer UK/Duke title game.
I don't believe CBS would attempt any sort of game rigging.
And, although this is not the Vegas of 30 years ago, Vegas has more money than ever. And what can you buy with money? Well, everything but love, from what I'm told.

Actually just the opposite. NCAA wants its fair-haired child Duke to win it all, especially in K's 1000 win season. So if Duke wins, the whistle will go against UK. CBS and the media want to see a UK/Duke game but not the NCAA, and they're the ones who will select the refs. It's not rocket science to have observed which refs have favored Duke over time and which have given UK a bad whistle.

I think everyone has too much time on their hands. UK plays to win and I think that is exactly what they will do. We are more talented and deep than anyone left in the tournament. We just need to play our game and we won't have to worry about anyone else - including the refs. IMO

Hill is calling the game and Laettner and Knight are there as the meet and greet guests. Its all adding up to Duke. I am seriously thinking about putting 5,000$ on Duke and I've never gambled on sports before.

I think they've brought in all of the Duke people and Knight as a way to concoct the most delicious tears ever tasted. The streets will flow with schadenfreude's briny liquor as Cal licks the tears from Knight's callous, ruddy cheeks. Probably.
