Congrats to Caleb and Pike. Match made in bball heaven. Forever changing the trajectory of an amazing young man

Caleb is flying up many people's lists of favorite players. He's just an awesome person. Couldn't be happier for him on and off the court

I'm not sure anyone exemplifies what Pike is doing here more than Caleb

Outstanding, Caleb!

And while I'm sure you'll have a lot of basketball ahead of you even after your days at RU, achieving your degree is something nobody can ever take away from you.

Be proud of yourself, young man, (because we certainly all "R".) -You've earned every bit of writing on that document!

Caleb could have had a Triple double last night if he stayed in the game. Team player.

A little over a year ago many wanted him benched ( including myself) after a horrific start to the season - Pike didn’t see it that way thankfully.
Definitely not me. His shooting was off but he was and always has been our best defensive player. Many don’t see or just don’t value defense but I love it. My first memories of Hoops were the late 60’s and early 70’s Knicks and chants of DEFENSE. As a Giants fan while in College it was more of the same. “Offense wins games, Defense wins championships” was the old adage. Both games have changed but now I can safely say “Offense earns paychecks, Defense helps a lot.”

The fact that you are still saying his start was “horrific” shows you don’t see or value defense. He was a beast from Game 1 and got on his teammates to pick it up all year.

Think the announcers said the last Rutgers men’s triple double was Hinson in 1983! That’s absurd. I’d have liked Caleb to stay in just to break that streak - yeesshhhh.

Not gonna lie. Caleb might be one of my favorite players in the Pikiell era. Played all five years at RU, worked his tail off, a true captain now. I appreciate his defense as we all do, but I also appreciate his offense too. He has never really been the offensive focus, but he is definitely capable of it. Plays within the system and hence I’m more often genuinely excited when he goes off rather than frustrated when he’s not. Also just a genuinely good dude when you watch his interviews. Congrats Caleb!!!

You do but he could enroll and not go to class and the season will be done before he would be declared academically ineligible

Same as one and done players.
For example, I would assume this is how it would go with Harper as well (wherever he enrolls).

And he took a ton of **** from fans who only focused on some of his miscues on offense and weren’t paying attention to how much his defense impacted the game and his hustle and playing through pain impacted the culture.
