Seton Hall is the better team this year, we tried to make a bunch of comebacks but Seton Hall players didn’t miss in critical points. Made a ton of jump shots, did enough to win. Basically pulled away in one 3 min stretch and that was the game. Most years this game is down to the wire, last game we blew you out at the RAC, this time you handled us at the Rock. It will be very hard for the away team to win this game going forward as both teams have raised the bar of their home atmosphere as of late.

He's already a year behind with what he's bringing in with this class.

The hall is the most yuppie, loud mouth, can't dance, bunch of jack asses, I've ever dealt with. Idk who is worse quite frankly.

F them. They will always be our little catholic school sister.

This was their super bowl. Hope they get their asses kicked later in the year.

My only criticism of Pike is this. He is too loyal to his players and does not recruit over them IMO. Willard goes out and gets the best players available to make them better. I might be totally off base but it just seems that way.
Now I think you’re on to something here

They are talented. Think they have a chance at an elite 8 run, maybe better with the right matchups and some luck. Wish Pike recruited like Willard!
Yea not sure. They have lots of jump shooters, that’s there game… but live and die by it. When the ball stops falling it’s a tough deal. They quelled us ultimately but a “poor” RU team by recent standards cut a 16-point lead to 6 multiple times. They haven’t made it past the 1st round of the NCAAs for a long while, I’d be surprised if they do it this time around ie Sweet 16. But they certainly have to potential to

Is that like your little brother beating you at mortal combat once, and you bully him in every other real life medium imaginable? Ok they beat us a few more times in mens basketball. They still know they are the little sister.

Nah. F*ck ‘em. That said, they are the much better team. Better athletes, shooters, coaching, recruiting etc.

All credit to SHU. They were the better team tonight. I don’t think either team played their best basketball but the energy level was good on both sides and they made more plays than we did.

We need to keep getting better. Cliff showed some results from his off season work on the offensive end.

I agree it's become loyalty to a fault.

Definitely. At the law achool, they teach em what socks and tie combos to wear to get firm jobs. Some other schools teach about the courtroom.
I had to comment… why the bitterness.. it was our year. Geo is obviously not at full speed and the new players just need more time…. Harper is a pro and I will be glad to see you guys make another run like last year… no need to call us name and, I remind you, that this little sister school educated your AD and a few Governors over the last 100+ years… Cheers…

As long as you admit it lol.

But seriously dude the fans at the game were real jackasses. I'm a Newark resident who was beyond polite bc I have no issue with a fan base that supports the area downtown, and we are all from Jersey. But they talked so much nonsense the whole game it was really on a different level. Kept my mouth shut because I'm an adult, but it was really outside the realm of basic sports banter.

I bring up the yuppie thing bc im sitting here seeing those types opening their mouths the most and being the most juvenile and vulgar. Yet there are huge Rutgers logos in the Newark skyline. Talk your sh*t but jeez the trash talk was a different level and it reminded me of a typical catholic H.S. boy type crowd...

Cheers to you if you're level headed and congrats on the win.

Sorry to hear that… no need for foul language or poor behavior towards others especially the players… the kids leave all on the floor and the effort is to be cheered … I’m sure the school will crack down on that BS …no room for that whatsoever… enjoy your holiday season…

You make me mad because I'm mad and I can't be mad at you haha.

I don't care if the kids talk like that. Our kids do the same. This was guys my age in their 30s.

But congrats and have a happy and joyful Holiday season as well.

We've all been treated just as poorly at the RAC, it goes both ways.

Edit - not saying that makes it right, but unfortunately it's part of the emotions of this rivalry and we just expect it in the other team's building.

Honestly, no. Not this level of Cornball with a huge mouth in random snack lines and bathroom sessions. If I took any of these guys two blocks from the rock they would be dead silent. Thats the issue I've got. They didn't say anything at the bar either. Get them in their ambiance and they think all bets are off. I had more respect for your alum before I attended this game.
