I know everyone hates the foul call discrepancy, however if the Cards do
these things ;

GET OUT OF THE ZONE
Rebound
A low post player step up

Cards win.

Dont care what the refs called, in a 4 point loss, the Cards got practically
nothing from the bigs, and stayed in the zone to long.

Offense glass by MSU killed us. I do give them credit and I do like our team.

Agree we needed MUCH more from our bigs. When we get Mitchell and Adel going look out.

It's easy to second guess but I thought coach panicked some with the quick timeouts in the second half. I'm not a coach though and he is. A Hall of Fame coach at that.

It's all good. We learned a lot tonight IMO.

1. Lee is a stud.
2. We have great length as a team.
3. Good defensive team but needs to improve and they will.
4. Really good shot blocking team.

I hate the loss but I expected it. This was a learning experience and this game will help this team get better. With that in mind, I too say congrats to the Spartans. Hopefully we'll get another shot at them in the NCAA tourney.

Congrats to Michigan St.

I was hoping for a win but still happy the Cards kept the game close and led for a lot of the game.

The issue with the zone is that the new guys, Spaulding, Mitchell and guys like Johnson, Anas and Snider get lost and miss assignments. Even the bigs, Mathiang and Onuaku got lost and Lee got burned really bad on a back door cut. It was somewhat effective early and was working on slowing down Valentine but as good players do and good teams, he was able to get his teammates involved. We were pretty much a two man team.

It would have been nice to get a little more production from the post players for sure. I saw a lot of mental breakdowns on D. Guys just not being in the right place or temporarily "zoning out" on a few possessions. Very winnable game.

No it wasnt. They chipped away, then killed it off with 3s.

Mix it up.
It wasn't working in the first half when we were up by 13 and they didn't even have 10 points halfway thru the first? Our defense looked dominant at the beginning in any defense we were in.

Its a 40 minute game.
Cards were stuck on 21 forever.
If your offense cant score, the defense has to hold up.
That high of 13 point lead, dwindled down to a 3 point halftime lead.
They methodically picked the zone apart.
Zones kill you on the boards, and take away agressive man to man.
