Lakeville North's Bryce Benhart won the Minnesota Class 3A heavyweight title Saturday with a 7-0 decision over runner-up over Marco Cavallaro. With the win, Benhart finished his senior season 34-0.
His father, Gene, posted a title photo on Twitter. Bryce, 6-foot-9, had to cut weight to get to 285 pounds but should play at NU well over 300 pounds. His Nebraska roster bio lists him at 305.
