Final Average for the season was 36.4 ppg which ranked 116th out of 129 teams. Splendid job by a supposed defensive guru. Despite giving up 36.4 ppg, amazingly, 2007 was still worse at 37.9 ppg.
My goodness Diaco was a disappointment. And to think before the season started I was drinking the koolaid about how much better we were going to be
Man, that's a lot of teams. And to think only 65 of them have a legitimate chance at the CFP to begin each season.129 teams
You want @Bobfather to be our D.C.?I don’t know about you but I’m tired of these defensive gurus. Give me a guy that wants to bloody your nose and I’m good to go.

Skewed stat. If we could have stopped Iowa's last scoring drive we'd be sitting at 36.3 and 115th.

I did a Google search for "FBS Expansion" to figure out when FBS grew so much. LIBERTY is moving up to FBS in 2019.
FBS teams by decade...
1980: 138
1990: 107
2000: 116
2010: 120
You don't have to be the fastest to evade a bear, just faster than your competition.Hey you want to know something just as bad. Offensive scoring we are 84th in Danny langsford 3rd year. We spent so much time beating on Diaco we forgot how bad the offense has been.
