I've been wanting our politicians and governors to get on board with their and our state university forever, and finally we have one who seems to be showing us some love. Lesniak, too. We need support and not antagonism, and every bit helps no matter whose party is occupying Drumthwacket.
Having the full support of the governor, regardless of whether he has an "R" or a "D" next to his name, is a great thing, especially when it comes to needing state money to keep up with the Jones's in the Big Ten arms race.

That is very cool...about time a NJ Gov was truly behind THE state school!! 
“All aboard the Scarlet Express!” as seats are filling up fast.
Small things like this are very similar to seeing R car magnets on the road -- people who follow the gov and don't follow sports/Rutgers seeing the school being brought up on his timeline after wins will only increase the state's awareness and pride in the team doing well.
Great job by Murphy once again - Don't agree with all his politics but he really has been a big supporter of RU and RU sports. Long overdue.
For a neutral site game where the Giants/Jets pay us $5M...I’d take that call and listen at the very least.
Every governor of NJ ought to be a public fan of the sports programs of the State University (even if not his/her "team"). Murphy is one of the few who "gets it" on that count. Kudos.
Agree or disagree with policy it’s awesome his support of Rutgers sports not just football but loves b-ball and Cviv too. Finally
