I am surprised by the lack of UNC discussion. They have a facinating team in Mike Malone's first year. Brown is an elite scoring PG, Able came back from the draft, and Avdalas averages 4.6 APG at 6'9.

They will have issues with the center position - Samodurov only got 3.6 PPG in the Greek Lg, Keita was just in the developmental league in Spain, and Bennerman redshirted last year. Also, the don't have much depth, especially at guard. Their big 3 will probably have to average 35 MPG for them to be successful.

I bet they end up with Maximo Adams starting and Stevenson filling in at the 5 by our game.

Indiana is a weird one too. DeVries brought in an entire team of 4th and 5th years last year, and lost all of the remaining team, but one role player to the portal.

He brought in undersized PG Burton who is finally getting out of Notre Dame after averaging 19 PPG over 3 years of losing basketball. His other guard is Bryce Lindsay from Villanova, which is a nice pickup.

I really like Yigitoglu as well. He is a huge center from Turkey and played at SMU last year. I'm not a fan of Sherrell from Alabama, especially at the 4 next to Yigitoglu. Mustaf, Harris, and Mondon aren't much either. I bet Sisley ends up making a leap though.

Borzello has Indiana around the #30th ranked team next year (UNC is at #25)

We are expected to play Miami in the SEC/ACC challenge. If so, the game will be at their place, and they will probably be ranked pre-season very close to where we will likely be ranked.

As of right now, I think we'll be favorites against UL and UNC.

We are underdogs against Kansas, IU, and Miami if they are indeed our ACC/SEC challenge opponent.

We might be better than IU and Miami, but those are true road games.

That said, we have 5 legit nonconference opponents, especially if UNC is a sleeper.

Indiana looks straight up terrible so I think we’ll be ok but I think Miami is the hardest out of all those

IU should be bulky in the frontcourt. Sherrell had a TS% over 60 and was decent at blocking shots for Bama. Samet is an elite rebounder on the offensive glass. Burton could be solid at point for them. He had a TS% near 60 and an assist rate approaching 30% last season. He doesn't shoot from 3, however.

Those 3 guys could at least buoy them to the top 30. Not saying they are amazing or anything, but playing a top 30 team on their homecourt is a tough task. Elite level teams are the only ones I'd expect to win such games with consistency.

Curious where you saw this? I couldn’t find it on either the UK or MVSU websites.
I went back to check the post where I saw that and it turns out it was a parody Twitter account. I didn't think anything of it at first because that's usually what a SWAC school's non conference schedules, plus when Mike Davis was at Texas Southern, he would use those schedules as far as his recruiting efforts went.

I do apologize.

Id love to beat them 2 in a row coming back into the rivalry.
