I love how we are playing right now, but still think we have a lot to work on. This team can still be special, but we need everyone to show up at the same time. I think we see it soon. We are beast on the boards if we can get our shooting more consistent and limit the TOS look out. I feel like we are a better team than Loserville I just worry about the first real road game and any let down after such a big win over the cheats. Still I think we take care of business and are back on schedule. I just hope Hagan's stays on track. Just curious where everyone's confidence is. A week ago I wouldn't have even asked with all the negativity, but now I feel most our excited again. I'm at 80%. Only reason it's not higher is first road game and rivalry game. Also feel free to add any concerns or places you feel we dominate. For me I don't think they can come close on the boards.

70%.. it would be 90% or 100 if I knew for certain that this team wouldn't have a few missteps. Big game against UNC, holiday in between.. having a letdown Saturday would not surprise me. We've seen this a lot.. Kentucky will take a huge step forward right around now.. then run into a wall for a bit before fully coming together in March.

Kinda like a toddler learning to walk..

I know I would be lying if I didn't have some of those concerns. I really hoping we have turned the corner and they drop the hammer down Saturday and only improve from here out, but I know your probably right and a let down after a big win is possible and some players will be up and down until it clicks and they all are on the same page. Anyway here's to hoping no letdown and we continue to move towards that team everyone thought we were in the Bahamas.

Please just let our guys show up like they did the cheat game or better. I will be thrilled to see Hagan's continue to improve and shut people down. That would be a huge weight off our chest if we can count on him as our PG from here out. I think PJ and Travis dominate the dirty birds.

uk is the better team, has more talent and i dont think its close. ul's offense is pretty bad, they have to take a lot of 3s to stay in games and hope to make them. they will go 4-8 minutes without much offense. williams and schofield went for 44 points against them. dont see why pj and travis cant dominate the paint just as much. their guards are all 6-2 if not shorter so herro and our guards should be able to get good looks.

if we shoot well and dont turn it over a ton we will be fine. ul will need to make 10+ threes

I went with 60% with the Holiday in between games ,the team is still in the process of growing , and it's a rivalry game on the road.

50%...

this is first away game right? Those are never good with bunch of young players.

If this wasn't the first away game (like even second), then my confidence level would be 100%.

UK will win.

I didn't think we'd beat Duke, but I have felt confident about beating UNC and Louisville all season.

I felt good about the UNC game because of the matchups. I think we match up even better with UL. Unfortunately with rivalry games and at their place it’s hard to say. I feel very confident though. If we control the boards I think we win. That simple for me.

I don't see how UL has the talent to hang with us. They're simply not very good. Nobody thought they would be very good and they're not. However.....they play hard, they have nothing to lose and nobody expects them to be very good. We shoot the ball well and its game over easily. We lay bricks and we lose a close one.

I can't believe someone picked less than 50% or maybe I can. After UNC I figured confidence would be out the roof. Maybe a troll, I hope. I don't see how any real KY fan who has watched us grow over the past few weeks could actually think we have less than a 50/50 shot against them. They need a whole lot to go right and we just need some things to go right. If rebounding is there like it has been I don't think they have a chance.

The worse I can imagine anyone feeling is 60% confident, but to each his own. I get it's a road game, but we have played neutral court games against some pretty good teams. I don't see YUM being that dom. If it was against Mich St at Mich St or something like that then yeah. The dirty birds we are just better, they need YUM just to be in it.

Quickest 100% I’ve ever voted on!! Foo want to say, I respect everyone of you and your opinion!!

There will be no let downs. This team has Coach Cal and this is what he lives for, Making anyone that doubted him, unhappy.

When he gets fired up like he is now, there’s no better coach in America, and he’s going to start making us all believe again. ( I never stopped, and I know most of you didn’t either )!

The kids are growing and learning from the best every day, and you can almost write it down on your calendar when they start to click. I have no doubt that we see a more in tune team this weekend.

It will be a decent game for awhile, until the emotions wear of from the Cardinals, then it’s cats all the way. May be close at halftime, but with ten minutes left, they won’t be within ten points of us again. If it wasn’t there, we’d win by 23-25!!
Thanks.

Cals done playing around now and , maybe got a little cocky to begin the season! He’s gone to work. Haha. Going to be a fun day people !!

Yes to all!! They shouldn’t be within ten points of us after half time, and truthfully, we should win this game by 20 points. We’ll probably win by ten!

We've got the more talented team so if we bring our best we have a 90% chance to win. If we don't then we have no one to blame but ourselves. That's what you like if you're a competitor. Just bring it guys and we'll be alright.

True but Mack’s Pack-Line defense could (probably will) create more stops than we typically endure. We will have to shoot the ball relatively well, because there will be very little room to dribble drive.

90% - 10% chance the refs take over. Hopefully the game will be called like it was against UNC...but it wont. Each team will end up with 20+ fouls. Cats prevail.

Some People letting there tiny nuts dictate confidence level lol. Pretty simple to me UK is better at every position except maybe SF and Keldon has been on fire so that's probably a push. UofL would have to hit 12 3s and UK 4 or 5 to win this game. Only shot is bad refs putting us in horrible foul trouble but even then Richards and Montgomery longer more athletic and better than anything UofL has. UK 80 67 with UK being in some foul trouble.

I almost went 70% because it's the rivalry and sometimes all stats go out the window. I'm not as worried about the road aspect as it sounds like we will have a decent amount there, but the rivalry thing you just never know.
First true road game with a fanbase salivating for something.....anything to crow about besides hookers, downed banners, FBI stings, Petrino, Pitino, Jurich, Katina, and flooded underpasses on Floyd Street. It will be similar to the crowd UK faced at IU when they were wanting to be relevant again. I will give UofL credit for one thing....they wouldn't storm the court.

I voted 70% but I would’ve voted 80-90% until I saw the refs doing the game, I’m afraid a large amount of fouls called will make it hard to get a rhythm and that may favor the home team. I hate watching a “muckfest”!

Since we actually had 2 votes for under 50% (Hoping that's trolls) I added a we lose option just to see if we have any negative Nancy's left LOL. I want to make sure everyone can vote what that feel. Also changed it so you can change your vote if the 2 voters under 50% really wanted to vote zero confidence. (Once again really hope not KY fans, but who knows these days).

90%. The 10% lack of confidence is solely related to referees. I don't care how awesome ESPN thinks Mack is - UL is still stinking from their scandal(s) and there is no damned way Kentucky and Calipari are losing to them this soon after that debacle.

Cats by 12-15 pts. Mark it.

Honestly that's what I am thinking at least a 10pt win. The only reason I have it close is because of the first road game and the rivalry and some of the stuff we have seen in past years. I'm assuming Mack will Pitino muck it up and turn it into a rock fight, but it we rebound it really shouldn't matter. Not too many times in Cal's tenure have I been able to say I love us at the line. Pretty much any player, especially our bigs. As long as the refs don't totally screw us I am fine with a FT contest.

The more I think and we talk I just don't see how we could lose this game. We would have to have a horrible performance like the dook game and they would have to have their best like maybe the Mich St game and even then I think we squeak it out worse case. They are better than I thought, but just not in our league.

I love how confidence is so high with them here in Louisville. I had my KY gear on a week or so ago and some random Loserville looking crack head said,"SH baby, the writing is on the wall". It's all I have heard for the last few weeks, but every time I say you want to make a wager they say nah, you guys will probably get all the calls or some BS excuse like that LOL.

How are they playing. Played one good game and a top t0 team and beat Utah which they should but you should neve lose to SeatonHall. That was bad. So I would pump the breaks because if UL wins the world will be ending and people will start complaining about Cal

I'm going with 60%. Would've been alot higher if they hadn't beaten Mich St. Powder's already made comments about how he keeps reminding the team about the "*** kicking" they took last year. He'll have them foaming at the mouth, and they'll play out of their minds early. We'll wear them down in the end and win by 7-10.

LOL, SH isn't that bad they are ranked 33 in the others AP. They went to Maryland and beat them and haven't lost since UofL. If they beat undefeated St. Johns this week it won't be looking like a bad loss at all in their backyard by 1 in OT with guys hitting everything including the go ahead 3 guy falling out of bounds hands in his face double pumping. Not much you can do about that, they played well and we were just starting to get it.

Say what you will about only 1 good win, but the cheats had just drilled the Zags who beat dook so a pretty impressive win to me on a neutral floor. People still find away to be negative is amazing. The team looks like a completely different team. hagan's has finally stepped up and with him playing well at the point it changes everything and opens the lanes up. This team is 1 win away from being back on track for the FF so I'm not pumping any brakes!

So he’s an even littler ***** than @Steelers2012 who posted here DAILY for a couple years and vanished after UL got caught cheating and the title banners came down (only school in history to have a title vacated BTW)

He’s such a tool

To me this game comes down to perimeter defense which early on we were not very good at. U6 will shoot the three ball early and often. How we defend that will decide the outcome. We should have a big time advantage inside and on the boards so I expect to see multiple sets ran by U6 to rub defenders off their better shooters. How we switch and communicate on defense will be the key. Play lockdown D outside and we win by 8-12. Play poor perimeter defense and it will go down to the wire. Also we have got to hit our free throws, especially Travis and Washington. U6 inside has tendency to be foul prone.
