I seem to remember us either being locks or having to win the tourney in the last 20 years. Not a lot of bubble craziness like this year...
IIRC, TU knew they had to beat Hawaii and win the WAC tourney to get in. I believe TU was put into this position when a few upsets occured in other tournaments. This year practically too close to call, it still may require TU advancing to the AAC finals, especially if UCLA wins even 1 PAC-12 tourney game.

I am suprised ODU only dropped 1 spot despite losing in quarterfinals.

UCLA jumped into the "first 4 out" without having to win a game, I bet UCLA will moves to the top of the "first 4 out" if they beat USC., and into the "last 4 in" if Texas or Indiana loses. Miami may even need to beat Notre Dame to guarantee they stay ahead of UCLA.

Let's go USC!

UCLA 47
USC 29 (half)

I believe we were right on the Bubble in both '01 and '02. Considering the fact that we were a 12 seed in 2002, we were probably one of the last teams in.

Houston is hot enough to win a couple of games. A saw them win 4 at the BOK when they got hot. You don't want to draw them !!!!!!!!

I like the matchup with their bigs more than Tulane's. That's where we are vulnerable. Houston is part of the "jack a three" division of the AAC. They live and die by outside shooting. We have been better at that lately. And they are playing seven scholarship guys and a walk on. As long as Shaq doesn't get hurt again, this isn't a bad matchup.

Creighton leading Georgetown by 2 with 8 minutes left. Amazing stat : Per announcer, Creighton lost 7 Big East games this year that they were leading in the last minute. !

CYCLONES!! Didn't lead the entire game until the final second.

Not sure if that drops Texas though. Certainly didn't lock themselves in.

They are talking about Houston knocking SMU out of the tournament last year and will they do it to Tulsa this year??? I don't think so. Shaq will be ready. Texas has a long time to wait and be forgotten. Bubble teams that lose in the first round are the easiest for the committee to explain .

Tejas will be squirming come Sunday evening. Just like Miami and just like Iowa should be (Iowa really isn't a good team. I put them at the same level as Illinois and A&M). I think we need to win at least 2 and get to the Finals.

Do we root for Memphis tomorrow to drop Temple?

We only needed Temple to win if we were going to play them again. now we need Cincy, Memphis and SMU to win and most of all Tulsa.....

For the record, check this site to see a really good guess as to where each time sits: http://bracketmatrix.com/
Iowa is currently in as a 7 seed.

Iowa is terrible. Every time I watch them I want to gouge my eyes out.

Raise your hand if you think Travis Ford is at OSU next year? I have no idea how OkState is still in the mix. They have looked brutal the last 2 weeks and Phil Forte looks like he ran out of gas 40 miles ago. They are so thin and they look like they are running on fumes.

I think we're forced to root for Temple. If a loss knocks them out, then we have 0 wins over tournament teams. Our resume is built on Temple and @Temple being quality wins.

They just showed a former Ole Miss guard who plays professionally in Iraq.

I can't fathom loving any career that much.

Different players, different coach. TU has owned this Houston team, suffocating them defensively.

Yep, best case scenario for TU and the AAC, is for a Temple vs Tulsa final. If Temple advances to the AAC semi-final and loses to SMU, that might be enough to get them off the bubble.

Unbelievable mistake by S.Carolina, they try to intentional foul with 8 secs left, and 3-point lead, Ole Miss makes a few great passes, buries a 3 from the corner and S.Carolina fouls for a 4-point play. Then Ole Miss commits an equally stupid foul behind the arc at the buzzer sending S.Carolina to the line, they sink all 3 shots and win the game. WOW

Ole Miss 58
S.Carloina 60 (FINAL)

Miami 63
Notre Dame 70 (FINAL)

Odds we play Tuesday night in the play in game if we lose in the conference final? Win the tourney and I'm confident we jump into the main field.

Hard to understand how Ole Miss
is still even on the bubble. SC had a
bad season.

Just win tomorrow and it's a one game
season whether we play Cinncy or a road game
V UConn. Better for TU to play Cinncy for
a top 50 win.

Excited

Ps thank you Irish! Tulsa 28 Notre Dame 27!

I don't think so. They would need UTEP to climb into the RPI top 50 and that doesn't look possible now that ODU lost. Even then, they have bad losses to North Texas, UAB, and ULaLa. And their SOS is 187. They're in the same boat as Murray State, Iona, and ODU. Great year, but it's not a profile the committee traditionally rewards.
