Conference affiliation and recruiting

It’s a common opinion that moving from the XII to the B10 has lost Nebraska considerable ground for recruiting Texas. How exactly does that work ? (not doubting it’s true) Just curious.

Is it because you can’t sell to a recruit that he’ll play in front of mom and dad a couple times every year?
Or is it because you can’t recruit while visiting other TX schools on the road?
Or is it because the Texas recruits aren’t aware of your school because they don’t see local Texas U’s play them?

18 year olds wouldn’t even know who Bob Devaney was.. you did say forever…🙄

Bob Devaney...... These kids today would barely know who Tom Osborne is, if at all. It's just the sad truth how far this once solid program Has fallen.

No to the second
Yes to the third.

look at how more SEC teams are recruiting Texas since A&M joined that league. There was always some presence but it has increased lately.
