You think the concessions are good? You're a fool. Do you tolerate horrendous performances by your employees?
Anytime anyone mentions problems within RU that old kook ridicules the posters instead of adding a solution. He is the true meaning of accepting mediocrity.
If Hobbs is talking to random fans about concessions, then he is the wrong guy for the job. He has some very important and difficult issues to attend to. While the concessions at the RAC are worse than awful, hopefully Hobbs won't take your call ... unless you are also donating a practice facility as well !
So that was a long-winded way of agreeing that the service is bad. Also, in my original post, I didn't support banning the community groups, just moving them off the main stands. I usually eat beforehand anyway, but when it's difficult to get a bottle of water something is wrong.
So you put the community on non revenue producing areas so its no longer a viable fundraiser as they provide labor and only get a commission. They may as well work a min wage job and donate that money. You don't understand how it works. If you want union workers, the contract will certainly not allow NPO groups to take a job from a represented employee.

If you think season ticket holders don't care about concessions/hospitality you are 100% wrong.
If they can't get it done...so be it. Now, that's concise. All kidding aside, I think we both agree that the service needs to improve. You clearly know this business better than I do. I can only speak from my experience as a season ticket holder for 20+ years. My experience has been that these groups have trouble handling crowds at the main stands. Are they the only issue? Probably not, but they are one of them. I don't want to be the community group grinch, but I see it as an issue.

Can't wait. Does RU read these boards and come up with these ideas just to piss us off? Well the mac and cheese wasn't to bad. Let's hit with a combo meal.... they won't have a clue what that involves .
Yes- I ate at a diner beforehand. Didn't go near the stands. I did notice that people who ventured out to the stands at halftime didn't return until the second half was underway.
Have had food & beverage at Seton Hall games at PruCenter multiple times. Not bad. And this after splendid outings at Ironbound eateries before games. Light year difference from RAC concessions which are insultingly bad. The fools are the Rutgers Athletics Dept and whoever runs the concessions. Adds nothing to the game day experience, especially for the casual fan who catches a game or three a year. Reflects poorly on Rutgers and the way they go about their business and treat paying customers.
For what it's worth, I received a Game Day Experience survey this morning for the RU-Indiana game and indicated that concessions need the most attention with comments.
It's funny, but I rarely think about going to the concessions because the experience is so bad. We also have a few posters saying people are idiots for not eating first and wanting to use the concession stands. How bad is the situation to get us to that point?

Sounds like you've taken the bull by the horns there, Sport. Any chance you can post your comments for all to read ? Pls keep us informed of any additional progress you make with improving the RAC concessions.

Did you respond "Yes" to the survey when it asked would you like someone to follow up with you directly? Would be most interesting to get a name, their job title, and their reaction to your comments and the plan of action proposed to resolve the problem. Hopefully the Fan Advisory Board cites concessions as a real issue, as well.
The concessions are supposed to be a revenue source .Telling fans to eat before coming to the RAC defeats the purpose of having concession stands.
Wondering what the concessions will be like Sunday for the Globetrotters? Certainly we should expect that the customer flow would be higher at such a family oriented event.

Perhaps his feedback will have no effect, but it can't possibly have less of an effect than your numerous messages repeating the same thing on this thread, and likely took him less time.
This thread is pathetic . Grumpy people complaining about the crappy concessions . News flash folks the coach stinks , the team stinks and now the concessions stink . Why do you people bother going if everything stinks ?

I haven't been to the RAC in years, but the only thing more annoying than the concessions there is the people complaining about the people complaining about the concessions.

That is all the more reason to let people vent (about all of this).
The only way things will change is if those in power listen to the laments of the fans.
If we don't complain, why should the AD department change anything?
If they banned bringing in any outside drinks would that solve the conundrum for you?
And yes, more generally, the selection and service is lousy.
