Looking around at the rest of the SEC scores, we seem to be in pretty good shape with JoMo actually.

How in the hell can anybody spend as much money on a football program as the Vols and be this bad ?

Jury still out. We could lose to anyone on the schedule with the exception of Abilene Christian.

It’s mind boggling. They have everything in place to be a top ten team every year. Except coaching. It warms my heart to see them struggle.

It’s leadership within the University and the program as a whole.m, not just coaching. The inmates (boosters) run the asylum.

Makes me thankful for President Keenum and Cohen for sure. Even if I disagree with the 3 years probation we gave ourselves.

Our biggest problems right now are personnel related. The DL was left pitifully undermanned for this year and beyond by the previous regime. As were the QB and WR positions, but we’ve seemingly addressed at least one of those. DL has to grow up and get better fast. Lovett, Pickering, and Spencer are the only surefire talents that could probably play for any SEC team. Pickering isn’t ready yet, and Spencer is now injured. So it might be a struggle for a bit until some other folks step up and prove themselves.

For sure. I hear a lot of non-MSU beat media give Dan credit for leaving the cupboard full. He left us some talent, but he left major gaps as well. D-line, WR and LB all have had issues, whether that is depth or talent, related to Dan’s last couple years of recruiting.

Dan did a lot for MSU, but he left us a confounding roster that is like a microwaved hot pocket. Scalding hot in some places and frozen solid elsewhere.

Anyone, not a Florida fan knows exactly what you are talking about.

You nailed it. That was my biggest issue with his recruiting.

You're correct as well. I think once we correct this we'll start to reach our ceiling in football.
