So Josh Johnson was the only WR to participate in the bench press and he put up 14 reps. Pretty good for a WR. I haven't seen his name in the lineup for the 40. Memphis WR Calvin Austin put up a 4.32 40. SMUs Danny Gray ran a 4.33

While watching, NFL Network ran through a mock draft from one of their analysts and they had Tyler Smith in the 1st round at around pick #29.

Tyler Smith ran a 5.04. Paul was faster. The best time so far is 4.89. They are talking like Tyler could be a first round pick

4.91 is still pretty impressive
Update: Based on official times, we’ve got a new fastest performer for offensive lineman at the 2022 combine when it comes to the 40. Kentucky Wildcats lineman Dare Rosenthal unofficially ran a 4.93, but officially it was ruled a 4.88 which put him .01 seconds ahead of previous speedster Kellen Diesch.

At 4.89 Paul is pretty darned impressive. That's only .01 behind, in 3 way tie for 2nd fastest OL at the combine.

The NFL draft guy (DJ), their counter to Mel Kiper Jr, has Tyler Smith listed as going #29 to the Dolphins (via a trade from SF). I haven't seen any projections on Chris Paul but I'm guessing he could go in the 6th or 7th round. Teams will take a chance on him because of his size and athleticism but his intellect and capability of learning and applying things in a short time will be really appealing to teams. Get him with an actual OL coach in an actual assignment blocking system and he could thrive.

As for Johnson, I don't know. He had a nice bench press number but didn't do any other drills because of a bum ankle.

The draft is ridiculous but whatever. I think it is awesome when people kill it and....when people fail. Some people just amaze me how fat and slow they show up at.

Ryan Leaf showing up at 268 lbs was definitely ridiculous when he dropped 35 pounds in a couple of weeks for his campus workout.
