I honestly love our teams that win in the 70's more and rely on defense as we seem to be in every game and don't get screwed by officials as much. Those teams lose at the FT line more than anything. This team will be great by March.
Yeah teams like that our usually harder to beat by March as they don't rely on outscoring people .

At the end after Cal told the team to go thank everyone and then went over to the scouts he said (referencing why they weren't doing 5-on-5) "Jarred's out with a foot, Jermarl's got a knee, and Tai went down".

He didn't elaborate but right after that he was talking to Seth and mentioned guys going hard, cramping and tweaking hamstrings so I'm guessing Tai probably just had a minor thing.

Also hadn't heard specifics about Baker (knee injury) but maybe I had just missed it.

Baker is an ankle . He is fine but they ain't putting someone out there for this kinda crap if they aren't 100%.

Cal is probably right with this team. Throw it off the glass and go get it. Not many knockdown shooters on this team but we should play above the rim. Probably see a lot of packed in zones this year.

Id imagine that will be the only defense worth playing against UK. If you play man to man against this size and length, youd have to play pack line(UVA defense) which is a hybrid zone anyways. You just arent going to be able to guard this team man to man very successfully.

I've liked that kid since the derby classic. A backcourt of him and Hami would be a nightmare for other guards to try to get into sets/make passes/score against. Matter of fact, how long would this lineup be: 1-SGA; 2-HD; 3-KK; 4-P.J.; 5-Richards

This lineup will overwhelm defensively. Too much speed, length, and athleticism.

Washington reminded me of Chuck Hayes in his build. Going to be a very solid player for the Cats.

I hope you're joking.

They still could have gone 5 on 5 by using 2 of the walk-ons, but they weren't going to do that for a "Pro Day".

They had 8 healthy at the end with Tai and Baker likely out for minor injuries. They will be 10 deep even before Vanderbilt is healthy.

And even when UK is 11 deep, Cal will likely only have an 8-9 man rotation.
