They were ranked #24 when we played them. Evidently the sportswriters and the coaches thought they were worthy of a top 25 ranking.
well they were only ranked 24th in one poll and now they have a losing record. So it just shows you what they know. Its not how you start its how you finish sweetheart.

It doesn't matter what they are ranked or their record is now. What matters is when you play them. Ever hear of injuries? Perfect example: Missouri versus Florida this past weekend.

Texas Tech has not had any substantial injuries to cause their collapse to my knowledge. I watched a bit of their game this past Saturday. Their offense and defense had the same main guys that played against us. They are just simply not very good.....

They beat Houston, who has two top 25 wins.

But go ahead, don't let facts get in the way of your WVU sin't very good narrative, or Holgy isn't a good coach narrative.

We are good, I wouldn't say "very good". I think we are a 7-5 team.....and that doesn't qualify as "very good" in my book. But don't let facts get in the way of your blind support of Holgorsen and all his deficiencies.

And you missed the point entirely, it wasn't solely based on injuries, it was teams are different at different times of the year. LSU lost by 30 to Miss St and turned around and beat Auburn a few weeks later and Florida just lost by 29 points to Missouri.

Knock off Oklahoma and we’ll talk. It’s time for the next step.

You're the same clown who stated early last season and early this season that Oklahoma State was better than Oklahoma. LOL

Country, what do you think about Michigan's 16 point beat down of the 17th ranked team in the nation? Big win over a ranked opponent?

8 weeks later, that opponent is 3-5, unranked, fired their football coach, and goes by the name of the Florida Gators.

Who really cares what rank WV's opponents are when we play them or for that matter after we play them? All that matters is that we are entertained every Saturday by Holgs and team. I sure have been entertained this year and look forward to this weekend as we take on KSU! Warez

I've already stated it in this thread. I think Florida was much better at the beginning of the season than they are now. I don't think they were ever a real good team this year, but decent. I would love to play them in a bowl this year (I'm sure Will would love to as well).

Who the Hell Did Texas Tech beat to justify a top 25 ranking? They're not a top 25 team. They started the season feasting on bums and when they started playing the better teams they got exposed.

Florida sucks. They were bad in the beginning they are bad now. I guess Ucla was power at the beginning of the season by your logic.

I can't believe I'm responding to u. The only measure of what and who is good appears to be ur opinion. Thanks, now my iq is lower because of initiating in conversation with you. Must be the altitude there.

The major problem here is that some people let their dislike for the coach go to extremes and they fail to look at things rationally instead of emotionally.

The scale will always slide with some fans. First, it will be because he can't beat top 25 teams. Then it will be those teams weren't good anyway. Then it will be "the big boys". Then it will be they weren't "big enough". Then it will be playing for conference championships. Then it will be winning them. Then national championships et. al.

I'm certainly am not saying that Dana is or isn't the man for the job. But, if you are going to set criteria for how you critique the guy, at least be consistent.

That’s what happens when you crawl out of the bum hole, right, Colorado? LOL

The major problem here is that it goes both ways, as a slight rewording of your statement shows.

I remember when some here were taking victory laps after beating Baylor in 2014, too, and that season ended with us losing 4 of the last 5 games. Beating Iowa St was important, but another stumble in Manhattan would immediately give away all that goodwill and might start another spiral. This season is still very much an unanswered question.

What this post shows is you're ignorant fool. The guy starts a thread calling me out and you're stating that i am the one who's opinion matters? Starting a thread with another posters screen name is low class in itself. Your IQ is lower because you can't figure that out.

I remember that he even picked them to beat Oklahoma in his picks. Anyone with any knowledge of college football knew Oklahoma would win. There is a reason they call Okie State Junior in Oklahoma. Maybe you should give him a chance to redeem himself and ask him Who Okie states papa is.

OU doesn't claim Okie Lite
When it comes down to Okie Lite and Aggy there are things better off unsaid

Again proving sportswriters are geeks that don’t know football.
There's really only 2 polls that matter. The 1st one will be in early december and there will only be 4 teams that will like the outcome of it. The second one will be in January after all the games are played. The polls at the beginning of the season don't amount to much. Tennessee was ranked. Where are they now. Same for Florida and Florida state. The committe ranked Georgia above Alabama because The Fsu game turned out to be meaningless. The people sitting on the committee were not saying Alabama beat the 3rd ranked team in the country. Georgia's win over Notre Dame currently carries more merit. Each successive week that passes brings more clarity to who the real players actually are. Texas Tech was a joke probably 40-50 best team. If Iowa state losses to Oklahoma State this weekend they will drop out of the top 25 but in reality they are probably the 30-40 best team

Some people let their love for the coach go to extremes. The Op starting this thread is proof of that. Its a 2 way street pal.

has left the building.

"we haven't beaten a ranked team since..."

Bueller....

Bueller....
Calling people out in this manner is bad taste. People have the right to their own opinions regardless if its what you want to hear or not. You don't seem to be getting much support in this thread. That should tell you something about the manner of your conduct.

1) I really don't give a damn about your opinion

And

2) this guy has been bad-mouthing WVU and Dana for several years on here. All we ever heard was "Dana hasn't beaten a ranked team for several years..." blah blah blah

I just pointed out the obvious, two wins over ranked teams this year out of 9 games so far.

Then he changes his tune, like others pointed out in this thread, well those ranked teams weren't any good.
