could this game be the 2005 version?
I remember we went up to Boulder unranked and being pretty disfunctional on the offensive side of things. We arguably put together the most complete game in the Callahan era, winning 27-3.

Could this be the game where we play lights out on every area of the game? I see some similarities between that Colorado team and this Iowa team.

Small edit: NU beat CU 30-3.

Colorado was caving in before Nebraska got there. They lost to ISU 30-16 the week before, then Nebraska blitzed them. Texas then put 70 on them. Iowa is coming off a big win, even if it was against a bad team.

Say what you will about Iowa, but they don't get blitzed. Losses this year are by 11 to Wisconsin (garbage TD at the end by Badgers), 5 to Penn State, 2 to Purdue and 4 to Northwestern. A rainy, windy day on Friday will not be conducive to an NU blowout, though it would be great to see.

I don't see us blowing out Iowa honestly. Would be nice but Iowa always seems to be competitive at home even against teams that you would think are better than them. I see a low scoring game coming. Hopefully we can pull out a win

30-3. I remind them all the time that is the Area Code for Boulder/Denver so every time they call out they can remember the score.

we were a 15.5 dog that day and the radio guys out here was going on about how we were going to get hammered as I drove to that game. Just a glorious game to be at...especially with the Student Section getting kicked out.

Wasn’t that the game where Cory Ross ran up and down the field all day? Nice homecoming for him.

2005 was Callahan’s 2nd year and not first and remember losing to Colorado in 2004 at home and Billy boy thought it wasn’t a big deal having a losing season and not going to a bowl...

Yep I remember that. Joe Daley was our starting qb and many on this board had him penciled as the next Josh Heupel.

Went to the Iowa St game in Ames, Barney Cotton was ISU offensive coord that day and out coached Callahan..

BC has to keep chucking the ball up in the air over 40 passes and we were making good yardage runnning the ball and could have won the game by doing so..

Such a frustrating game… Yards galore on the ground, and we were passing the ball everywhere.

Windy day, too. I remember the radio guys critiquing going away from the running game.

Was that the game where the CU student section got kicked out of their own stadium for throwing crap on the field?
