Nice stretch of opponents where he and Hopkins can build up some confidence.
I really think Collins is key. If he can block shots and catch lobs and play with that kind of energy, UK becomes different.
It's ideal that he goes against Oscar everyday in practice. That is exactly the type of guy that should give Collins the most trouble and vice versa. Collins has to keep guys from getting into his body, because he can block your shot from several feet away with the way he can get up. If they try to post him, he needs to fight around them to keep them from getting the ball.

I love when he runs the floor, that’s when he’s at his best. We need to run those WCS style rubs for him 4-5 times a game. Just throw it up as high as you can at the basket. Go get it big fella!
Loved how his team pulled for him and wanted him to enjoy the game. Hope he stays 2 years to build skills. The dunks show why he is on draft boards.

That video is dope. But… He barely played against duke because he gave up a rebound and turn-over in 2 minutes. He came to basketball late and doesn't have innate footwork to build solid foundation for low post player yet. plus he's got 2x 4s for legs. He's a highlight reel dunker. Had a great game and confidence goes a long way to improved play. Get better young man.
That picture of TY TY and Collins is exactly what college basketball is all about. It is also why I don't understand people getting on them when they have a bad game. They are great kids and really love coming out and performing for the fans. I love it, win or lose, they are great kids. Proud to have good kids at UK.
I couldn't agree more. I root FOR the team, and I feel bad FOR the team when they lose or have a bad game. We have always had a lot of fans who somehow think they are owed something because they grew up watching UK basketball. I find most of the fans with this mentality didn't actually attend UK, and most have never set foot on campus. I'm also a fan of college basketball, not just a UK fan. So I don't feel the need to run down all of our opponents either.
I loved Wheeler after the assist to Collins. Wheeler looked like a kid on Christmas Morning. That play the Dunk down the lane was the #1 play on SportsCenter this morning.
Wheeler made that play happen for Collins. Really really impressed with Wheeler's defense and ball distribution.
Same. It’s what differentiates college from the pros in my eyes. When done right, the whole team is so passionate about winning they can’t contain it. The pros... man it just seems like they couldn’t care less.
Thats the type of dunk alot of guys at UK have “tried” to pull off but couldnt finish the job.

I seen that on TV, makes me happy. This team seems to get along great. I think that will help this year a bunch. Cals best teams play for each other.
