My favorite play was last night when the ball was knocked loose over mid court and Chandler out ran/hustled the Tenn. player for the ball, held up at the 3 line, gave a little fake and found Jelevic wide open. It doesn't get any better than that.
That was a thing of beauty! Actually my favorite play of the game. Oweh's pass to Chandler for the lead-gaining 3 is a close second

I’ve said this for a while, but I’ll say it again. Chandler has to be on the floor most of the game.
Teams have to worry about him every second defensively. His range is unreal, so it makes it easier on Aberdeen and Oweh to get spacing.

Been screaming from the mountain tops since last season…CC is the one…

Pope doesn’t need lottery picks or portal mercs…he needs about 5 CCs…
Cal's last few years were disappointments. He had some of the best recruiting classes.....but the results were pretty sad for the talent that he recruited. Now Pope isn't getting all of the glamour boys and people are howling....

Knew it was going in

strangely also knew we were missing front end of 1&1 after intentionally fouling. Colin and mark owe MO D a beer.
CC's release on that shot was awkward and it bounced perfectly to the side. Are we sure that wasn't an intentional miss? No idea why we'd choose to miss the front of the 1-&-1, but still. Just a really weird shot and circumstance from a 90% FT shooter with ice in his veins.

He still lacks consistency for legend and all American status level but he’s a sophomore. I’m ready to see him go Meeks before I call it. But by senior year he’s going to have legend status yes.

But he does have it without having it. It’s there it just hasn’t shown yet. In that regard yes he’s already legend.

I love it! So much for all of those clowns here that dogged him and mocked me for saying he deserves to start and is a star! Chandler will be a 3-4 year player and that excites me for what all he will accomplish by then. CC has been on another level lately. Stepping up once again in the wake of injuries just like last year's team suffered.

He's had 4 plays worthy of video montage this season for sure.
Five if you count the last play against Mizzou, where he tried to save that game too by knocking, ball out the guy's hand as he was about to dunk it throw it away for a down court but unfortunately the lay up was missed

Would you recruit over him, or not, if a stellar player is available and interested ??
He's the kind of guy you build continuity of rosters with, and in year 3 shines and gets recognized as the quality player he is. Clutch is a part of the game you cannot teach. He's got the look and te effort is always there. It's just a matter of time before we see him hit 20 point nights at this rate of development.

Very happy he has become my co favorite player on the team alongside Otega.

Sort of our Batman and Robin, if you will, of the team.

He’s one of my favorite players but I’m not sure his shot form will ever allow him to be able to shoot off the dribble. (What most superstar players need to become stars.) it’s very mechanical and takes a while to load up.

Pope said his #1 priority is recruiting the current roster. He wants continuity. Something we didn’t have much of under Cal

Who knows which player(s) might decide to go elsewhere (whether for money, playing time, style, etc.) or who might pop up and is just too good to say no to. Even if Pope brings everyone available back, UK has to bring in at least one PG – which I think should be at least good enough to compete for the starting spot with Lowe - and another 2G or Wing scorer to replace Oweh. BUT I don’t think you need to recruit over Chandler. I think he’ll be good enough to start at 2G or SF (in a 3 Guard lineup) alongside the piece brought in to replace Oweh. Maybe Williams takes that starting Wing spot – and he’d certainly be part of the rotation there - but I want him to have to earn it from an added piece (again a 2G/Wing scorer).

That three reminded me so much of Aaron Harrison’s dagger against Louisville in the 2014 sweet 16. So many similarities.

Our leading scorer(Randle, Oweh) taking the ball from different spots of the floor but both driving into traffic and kicking after leaving their feet. Aaron’s was from the corner.

We were down by 1 in both games. Under a minute left in both games. 39.1 left when Aaron’s shot went in. 32.4 When Collin’s went through.

Scorer of the UL game was 68-67 and put us at 70-68. Last night it went from 69-68 to 71-69. 1 point difference in the scores.

I'm honestly not sure how he is able to walk through a door. Maybe he turns sideways so his balls fit through? It has to be something like that.

There’s no recruiting “over” him at this point. If you have a chance to land the top SG then you do it and play them together at the 2 and 3. But let’s be real, I don’t see Pope being able to land anyone better than Chandler at his position anyway.

He’s pretty much got a starting spot locked up until he leaves unless he just totally regresses.
