That one duke player, his name escapes me, does it every day just for fun...

In all seriousness, that is crazy. He got laid out.

They did a full ESPN breakdown analysis and talked about it on every game broadcast for that entire week when Zion grazed his arm/head on the bottom of the backboard earlier this season. Acted like it was the first and last time anyone would catch the backboard . I have a sneaking suspicion this doesn't get as much attention.

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't happen more often, what with the athleticism of some of the players and how focused on a block they can be.

What is amazing to me is to watch this on the instagram and see 2 things: 1) He blocked the shot and 2) He walks away.

Not to take away from what he did, but it looks like he got a little boost from the offensive player trying to jump. Still impressive none the less.

That’s my exact thought as well. Players are so fast and athletic that I am surprised this doesn’t happen. On this case it looked like he just kept elevating after he hit the ball. Like he judged the jump way wrong.

He was still going up because he double jumped off the other guys shoulder.

Also, that dude reaching up to touch the rim in pursuit is hilarious
