This is one kid Nebraska can not lose especially to another school in the BIG. My fingers and toes are crossed. :)

I think he is ours IF we have a turnaround season. But if we stumble and start losing again, I predict he will not come to NU since a coaching change will be in the wings. Pure guess on my part but my gut says that is what he is waiting to see. I think he likes the current staff and wants to come to NU, but will not do so if we start losing.

Is there a reason he’s picked that date? Huskers are either 5-1 heading into Purdue or the season is already a train wreck.

Sounds pretty spot on imo.

I thought this from the front page was interesting:

The Huskers will need to secure a couple more big recruiting wins to land the class they need to put them over the hump, but the good thing for Nebraska is one of the nation's top recruits resides in their back yard in four-star ATH Malachi Coleman. Should the Huskers land a pledge from Coleman this class has a chance to be one of the best they have had in years.

But if we have te replace Scott Frost, we hire a coach that can recruit. You do that, then any decommits can change their mind again. We can't win just on the portal. We have to have strong recruiting.

You might be right, especially if that new coach, should we need one, is Mickey Joseph.

You would really want another hail mary hire of a guy with zero head coaching experience? I wouldn't. Could be a great hire but I'm not sure Nebraska can take that kind of risk. Need to roll out the bank for a proven P5 name.

I agree. But if they can’t get a proven P5 winner, or maybe a Luke Fickell, I think Joseph should be given strong consideration.
