I love EJ I really do. But I have to laugh when I hear takes like this. OL sucks and didn't block anyone. RB coach can't coach his way out of a paper bag. RB did it all alone. Sounds good. NFL should be a piece of cake.

5. Dylan had ample opportunity PLENTY of times to throw deep. When he did he lobbed up passed to some open guys which gave DBs time to recover and catch up. More time than not they were under throws OR he just held the ball.

What are we gonna do about how having an all BIG RB should've opened him up to really throw it down the field but he was never accurate enough deep to do it.

Also what are we gonna do about that fade that he hasn't learned to throw in 2 years? That in the OL too? Or is that on the OC? Or the QB coach? Or is it his "personal" QB guru?...OR are we gonna give him some blame for the stuff that he COULDNT/DIDNT do well?

Was he put in a tough situation? You damn right he was. Do RHule and company get some blame for that? You damn right they do. But let's not act like his dad didn't WANT that. He came to UNL because his family WANTED him here. They knew exactly what that meant. You don't get to ok everything and then when **** goes left blame the coach and act like your son did no wrong on the field.

Say what you like Rhule can't throw the deep ball to open WRs for him. He also can't throw that fade in the end zone to him. Rhule doesn't "lob" and "aim" passes to open receivers 35+ yards down the field. HES gotta own that. Just as the OL has to own when they blow pass pro and he gets killed immediately. He's gotta own when he has ample time and sits in the pocket like a statue and just holds onto it forever and gets sacked . While some guys look to blame "others" for it.

He's a big boy. Got paid a lot of money. Wish him well. But as fans we need to place blame for all. This stuff was never one way regardless of how we try and paint a picture. Dom, Dylan, Rhule and even Donnie all have plenty of blame to go around. Nobody gets a pass imo.

You might have a point if that staff hadn't also coached in 2023 and put together one of the worst qb lineups in history. Dylan came in as a true freshman and was an improvement in every way. Why is there 10 million tied up in coaches if they can't take a freshman with loads of talent and make him better? They didn't, and idiot fans would rather equally blame the teenager than the scamming coaches. I am sure a sophomore qb has some blame for not performing but that is the purpose of coaches...they serve no other purpose. If the kid doesn't get better, whether he resists or not, is on the coaches because they must do whatever they can to get the improvement.
T.O was a master of psychology, he understand how to get the most out of players. Rhule is a master of scamming and the whole group of scammers are happy fans are fighting about Dylan instead of worrying how we are going to beat Michigan State.

Not you just fans in general but according to some players get better in their own. Just had a convo a few minutes with a guy who said EJ got better on his own. No coaching help, no OL help just EJ.

That's where I push back. Most of you guys push a narrative based on who you like or not. You speak in too many absolutes. Coaching can help a player. A player can help a player. Strength and conditioning can help a player. Most fans don't get that.

Baloney about players not getting better because coaches. TO wasn't some jedi mind guy. He had plenty guys that flipped. Short memory or convenient amnesia. By your logic every 5 star that flipped it was because his coach sucked. Again not giving accountability to the player also who DOES have to be willing and put the work in. Tell you something else sometimes guys just aren't that good and were over rated out the gate.

Again Rhule is your "Trump or Obama" or whoever you want. He's your trigger. Your hatred/dislike sticks out like a sore thumb to the point that you are irrational when discussing them. You aren't able to have a legit convo without trying to find a way to deflect all things wrong onto that person's plate.

Life doesn't work that way no matter how hard people like that try to make it. It's never all one way as you are trying to make it .
