I was under the impression that Ashton Hagans was the number 1 pg in the 2019 class, but ESPN has Cole Anthony listed #1. Is Anthony one of those forbidden fruit players that if he goes anywhere not named Duke, Kansas, or UNC he will be ineligible or put you on probation? Is there any reason we haven't heard any news concerning Cal pursuing him? According to the Dallas updates, he is trying to be the overall Number 1 recruit, which would say something if he were to be over Wiseman and Carey.

His dad is the big cheese in this recruit, and as of now he is showing favoritism towards a couple people he has had long term friendships with.

Before this weekend a dude like Meyer was saying Lecque was the best PG prospect in this or next years class. Lets see who keeps the most consistent play, one weekend does not make a players season.

Anthony is a comboguard. Hagans is a point guard.

Anthony is not a dook lean. Like I said, his dad is currently showing favoritism to a couple people he has long term friendships with. There is no one on the dook staff Greg Anthony is friends with.

So his son is going to play ball at a brothel?

Capel visited him last week. It's as much about who the family trusts as the school.

He's a fantastic scorer, but I don't see him leaping to the top of the rankings. Top 5 is plenty good, and I think the bigs ahead of him also have more upside due to their physical gifts.

Greg Anthony played at UNLV and then bounced around the NBA in the 90's. When it comes to his son's recruitment, the latest buzz is that he's showing favoritism to a couple of his former Knicks teammates who have found their way into the coaching ranks.

Yeah Greg was on the 1990 UNLV championship team that crushed dook in the title game. Then his senior year he made the Final Four only to have his college career ended by Coach K.

Dollars to donuts, one of the reasons he is showing favoritism to other schools is he still remembers that last game.

Had no idea this was Greg Anthony's son until reading this thread. UNLV guys absolutely hated Duke! I know it's the kids call at the end of the day (or supposed to be lol), but I would think the dad would not want him to to go there.

I know you all hate crystal ball picks, but the last one went to UNC. Guessing Greg may have a connection there?

Cole Anthony will likely be at Duke. So will Bryan Antoine. That’s the assumption by about every scout that covers em. Could change but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Cole Anthony is in conversation to be #1 overall recruit (doubt he'll surpass Wiseman or Carey). He can slash AND shoot which seems to be a rarity these days. Very very good!

Really surprised his son would end up there as that whole UNLV team despised Duke (not as much as the Fab5 though.) Things can change but the same coach is there.

I found it interesting that Jonathan Givony a few days ago indicated Lecque had the potential be the No. 1 player in the 2019 class. Not the #1 PG. The #1 player. I'll try to find that quote. Imo it will be hard to keep Wiseman or Carey from being the consensus #1.

Greg Anthony played with Hubert Davis for a few seasons. They were on that Knicks team that lost to Houston in the NBA Finals back in '94. Davis is an assistant at UNC.

Long way to go in this recruitment, so don't sweat the crystal balls. It's just a gimmick to get people to click. Each time we open a page, 247sports generates ad revenue.

Don't be surprised if Georgetown also gets some crystal balls in the future.

@FactCheckerUSA Is there any chance he comes to UK?

His dad has zero to do with where he’s going. He stays out of that decision process (other than mentioning UNLV to him) according to Evric Grey (from Greg Anthony UNLV teammate, current good friend of Greg’s and current trainer of my younger nephew)

Young Anthony is a point guard in today’s NBA and he can pass and score with thhim best of them. He’s also an elite rebounding

Loved Anthony on the Knicks. Perfect compliment to the team. Hope his kid has the same drive as his dad...

That doesn't match up with the intel i got this week. Greg Anthony has been making phone calls this past week. He is certainly not staying out of the recruitment since the first spring recruiting period began.

I saw a retweet from dick Weiss, and I have no idea if it's accurate, that said lecque had a 48" vertical.

If that's the case with his current skill set, height and length at his position he definitely has a chance to be #1 in the class.

Consider me in the know. He's not going to Carolina. He may have us on a short list for window dressing, but there is zero chance he ends up in Chapel Hill.
