Not only is he the Woke Bastard, he's the Incompetent Bastard. Can't hire or retain a coach worth a damn outside of baseball. Every day he gets a paycheck from MSU is one day too many.

What’s this talk about Cohen being a liberal? Did I miss something?

I don't care what his political feelings are. He is totally incompetent as an AD. He needs to be fired and whoever is responsible for HIM being hired, needs to go first.

Woke crap on the jumbotron at halftime
That doesn’t really mean much these days. Pretty much every major brand is doing stuff like that. I don’t know about Cohen but I doubt that all of those companies are run by SJWs. I think most of them just want to placate the ferals and run cover so they can continue business as usual.

His political feelings are fine, as long as he keeps them to himself and doesn't force them onto fans. That's crossing the line.

The football stadium experience regarding getting into the stadium and concessions were absolutely horrible last year. Worst I've ever seen at MSU.

Hiring an "air-raid" coach to a football program that has won on defense and an athletic QB that can run.

Fire him.

Whoever convinced Cohen we needed to move to a pass first offense in 2018, the same year we had one of our best defenses ever? That is the genius that needs to be outed. He was grasping for a savior of that philosophy when he got Leach.

I said this was a major experiment when we hired an air raid coach right after we just experimented with Moorhead. Cohen has been trying to make us a passing school the day Mullen left. I did think that if anyone could make us a passing school Leach could because he has succeeded in doing so at several schools just not in the modern SEC. I thought we would struggle the first year at least for sure. LSU game tricked me into thinking we were way ahead of schedule. Now we are year three into terrible no producing offenses outside like three or four games. It’s not looking good for leach that three games in and the offense is getting worse. In my opinion Cohen shouldn’t still be the AD after his last debacle. Unfortunately after firing one coach in two years were are going to have to ride the Leach experiment out even if it’s bad. Unless it’s so bad he just retires in two years. I like leach but those wanting him to adapt his scheme just might as well forget it. He’s not going to. This is on Cohen for hiring two coaches that run their schemes and don’t adapt

Truth.

People around me think nothing of all the recent pushes for inclusion, equal opportunity, equal treatment, etc. And I live in a red state.

1- there is no downside to pushing for fair/equal treatment.
2- it should be easy to recognize that brands/companies are all doing this because its a good business decision to. To apply it to MSU, if Cohen or the athletic dept doesn't do this stuff, they can be seen as passively supporting inequality.

The video on the jumbotron is funny to me because when I went to games, I never gave a 17 what was playing in that thing. We talked and drank in-between plays and turing tv timeouts.
It was easy to ignore the content back then and I would thinknits even easier now with everyone looking down at phones between plays.

I’m sure a message about standing against racism would be supported by almost everyone associated with the University, Athletic Department, coaches, players, students, Southeastern Conference, etc.

Neither of you “get it” and you never will. That’s why you have no problem with a SJW message by our own athletes being blasted in our faces.

And the NBA, with it's 2 top players in the finals, was 70% down and Silver had to come out and say "we heard you and it will not be on the court next year".

lol don’t worry. The other 14 downvoting cucks will come around soon. Everyone on this board thought Joe was a good hire too.

I have not been to a game this year, what are the messages on the Jumbotron?

If everybody is against racism, which is most these days, then there's no need for the message. It's preaching to the choir. It's when it deviates into supporting extremists actions, even tacitly, of either side (such as arson, looting, kidnapping a governor) that it becomes objectionable. But there's no need to turn the board political once more.

It's about five minutes worth of student athletes telling us that they are all united in telling supporters of MSU athletics that they're a bunch of racists and need to be re-educated. They showed it during pre-game, and they showed it again during halftime.

Correct. I was just thinking the same thing. Nobody pays any attention to what's on the video board unless it's being used for the intended purpose - watching replays, especially of controversial calls. That's what it's for. Some are so intrusive that it's impossible to ignore, such as " downtown Louis-vuuuuuull" and "Daddy won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz". PSAs generally are ignored. I've not been to a game in a couple of years, but at the time advertisements were so frequent that they were very annoying to say the least.

So what about abortion, the second amendment, the Supreme Court, the Electoral College etc etc etc ???? There is a time and place for everyone to express and actively support their "causes" but leave it ALL out of a recreation (in this case college football) that people use as an escape so they can just get their mind off of everything else. It's just not the venue for it and people are sick of having this crap crammed down their throats.

So is it your position that forbracism to exist, literally all of a group must be equally affected in a negative way?

That seems like what you are claiming.
Of course there are outliers and exceptions to a rule.

I am not claiming racism is keeping anyone oppressed. I am simply observing thst your reasoning seems quite illogical. If I misinterpreted your claim, please clarify.
