I lived in Mississippi the last time there was any real growth. It's when gambling was legalized. Time to take another bold step... Legalize sports gambling, legalize recreational marijuana use and farm it for the rest of the country, educate the adult workforce on an emerging technology and bring in a growth sector that could establish a future for the state, or any other idea that looks to the future.There is not much other choice. What is your solution, Texas boy? I'll be waiting....
While I don't live in Mississippi anymore, what little news that makes it out makes the government sound awfully social focused. Guns, flags, bathrooms, marriage, refusing service laws... From the outside looking in, if half the effort was put into economic issues in Mississippi as the social agenda, it would be booming.
