LEC - Original got his "SUNNY DISPOSITION" from Ray Stantz to carry on his legacy.
When The Golden Hurricane does well he goes back under his bridge, but never for
long. He believes in picking scabs and kicking coaches to the curb because he is a
WINNER !!
No, TulsaTeen was CRAZY. Remember the blaze of glory he went out in? Original complains but he doesn't have Ray's bat$hit streak.

I mean. I've been on the fire Monty bandwagon since year 2. This start to year 8 looks so much better than past years. Either the players are finally playing well or he's changed his offense. It looks like the offense is different to me. I haven't stared into my screen wondering why we ran up the middle 4 straight times and punting like the last 5 years.
He trusts the QB so he is a little freer with the play calling. How many deep ins and throws down the field did we have? Way more than when Smith was the QB. And Brin looked a lot more accurate. I wasn't able to watch the entire game but did see into the 3rd before we had to go to my sons soccer game. I didn't see any throws that made me question what the hell Brin was doing. Our WRs seemed to get open when they were supposed to. If the OL can keep Brin upright, the offense will be fine. STs were more like the SpecEd teams. Blocked punts, bad coverage on the one kickoff that didn't reach the end zone, missed FGs. not including the 2 FG in OT, our D gave up 20 pts. Should have been good enough to win. But when the O and ST give up 14 pts and your STs leaves another 6 on the field, you're asking for trouble. And the offense settling for FG attempts on at least 3 drives in the red zone...again asking for trouble.

Davis has to clean up any confusion when he has single coverage on his receiver. Looking for help on deep
routes when there was none gifted Wyoming two easy touchdowns. Black mentioned the other defensive touchdowns that just gave them two easy scores. If Gray can't handle blocking the blitz package I'm
positive that the 260 Lb. Anderson can do the job . Brin and the receivers ate Wyoming's lunch.

what improvement? this year look just like the rest.
it's weird, right? From what people are saying, it's note the same as prior years - the play calling was not overly conservative, QB got some green light, not a ton of penalties. But the result IS the same as prior years. Maybe the things we thought were the problems weren't the real problems, they were just symptoms of the problem. you tamp out one symptom and the bigger issue just appears in other symptoms, with the same result?

Seems like it to me.

Two seasons ago when we hit the AAC championship it was on a knife edge too. We just won a series of coin flips you might say.

I don't believe Prince and Watkins would have performed the same, with the poor blocking. They would have been inhibited from their best game, but still better than the backs we had. I really want to see it all together with one or both of them.

I agree they would have performed better but would still have had trouble running between the tackles. We were not getting push on the D-lineman. Both of these backs would have found a crease here and there. Ford’s best run was in the first OT when we went out wide (6-8 yards IIRC). I think we had more speed and was surprised we didn’t test the outside run game a few more times. Either Ford on a sweep or Stokes on the jet sweep.

FWIW, Jerry O commented on the Golden Hurricast that Wyoming has 2 defensive tackles that will likely go to the NFL. So our new Oline was facing 2 of the best interior lineman they may see all season.

I remember my days at SUNY-Pittsford. There was some dude named DreDogg. I totally handled him in practice. 😃

Special teams continue to be the problem year after year. I think the new offensive coaches may have helped our improved play calling. The special teams coach is the same one we’ve had for awhile.

Can anyone speak as to whether or not the program has more money available for assistant coaches? Is it even possible for us to hire a full-time special teams coordinator or offensive coordinator?

I don’t think we will have them for a while. Sounds academic.
