If the kids continue to play with this level of effort, we will be in a few dog fights with some top level teams in our league. May not have the goods to get enough buckets down the stretch in a lot of them but the 30+ point beatings should be a thing of the past for the most part...

Size and depth can do amazing things. If they can finish better around the basket this could be an interesting year. If they could get the field-goal percentage above 40% this will be a complete performance.

Shows what happens when you hire an experienced coach and an experienced staff. Amazing!!

Isn't it great to see a coach and assistants who actually know what they're doing it and then seeing their vision play out on the court, because the kids have bought into the system? I can't recall the last time I saw a Rutgers team this organized, playing tough defense (man to man and zone) and so aggressive on the boards on both sides of the court. It's refreshing and as someone above pointed out, it's fun to watch RU basketball again.

Seeing Pikiell talking to his staff on the bench was refreshing, too. What does that say about the past?

I really hope Ash works out but whenever we have to hire a new football coach again, this makes me want it to be a guy with successful head coaching experience.

I saw a difference when watching the first 2 minutes of the Malloy game. I'm not a basketball expert, but you can just see that the team looks like they know what they're doing. The energy and effort are there, and aside from a couple of minutes at the end, the mental effort was there too.

We're finally going to have fun again at the RAC.

Just by seeing the defensive stance the perimeter players are taking and their lateral movement (foot movement), you can see they were coached.

Yeah, I like the way we run our half court sets, to. And I like that as the players get more comfortable in their roles and know one another better there'll be plenty of room to grow with better awareness and anticipation.

What really amazes me is that Coach P stressed rebounding and how about that first half they out rebounded DePaul 29-8.
If that doesn't happen, we don't win this game. Very impressive.

And it only should get better going forward...we have all the pieces in place, solid AD, coach and staff, new practice facility..we can start showing the 2018 recruits that this is NOT same ol' Rutgers.
