Coach Means is retiring after 18 years at Millard South

Also read Coach Houchin is no longer coaching, which means Raymond Central is open.

Sounds like possibly Twin River

Rumor I’ve heard twice now is Kearney Catholic might be open soon. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t know Harvey or anyone at the school.

Tough job for sure. They must feel good about their numbers as they declared 8 man again. There were several winnable games on their schedule last cycle. In all honesty they probably had a chance to be a .500 team with some better numbers. D1 out west will be tough with DCS, Sutherland and Bridgeport tho.

I’m sorry! 😭😅. I do think he’s a good coach and man from what I’ve been around him. Would it be out of the question for a class A school to reach out? Does that happen, or do they just go with who applies for the job?

Not uncommon at all. I think the rumors with Coach Harvey were actually based on him being a college OC at little school in Lincoln, NE. He was in Lincoln for an event for one of his daughters and happened to stop by practice to see Masker and Haarberg. This was close to the time the offensive staff was let go. Nothing more than a coincidence, but enough to start a rumor.
