Let's deal with the coaching speculation in other threads:

Steve is never leaving. Nothing to worry about.

Ewing is done and look for them to go after Amaker.

Knight could very well take NJIT.

Anderson is done if he doesn't Dance and he won't. Pitino or Matt Langel.

Iona-Pitino isn't coming back and David Klatsky, now at NYU will be given a look.

Knight going from associate HC making $600+/year in the b10 to take NJIT?

I think Knight has much better aspirations than NJIT. I could have seen him at his alma mater - Pitt however Capel has Pitt playing much better this year

I see Knight commencing his headcoaching career maybe at an A-10 school or a lower level P6 school

Rumor was he was offered St Peter’s gig after Holloway left but wisely turned it down.

How do you know Steve is never leaving RU?

What if in 3 years after his youngest is done with HS UCONN offered him 6 years and $42 million? Would he say no. Did you see how much family showed up at the Mohegan Sun game in Connecticut?

What if the NY Knicks wanted him?
How about Duke or UNC?

I’d think it is very unlikely he leaves, but no way you can say never.

Pitino at St John's would be very interesting. Could set up some real wars with RU in the future at MSG which would be great for college basketball in NY/NJ.

I’ve heard rumblings of Knight to Valparaiso next year

I was thinking yesterday about how the Big Ten coach most likely to not be back next year might be... Micah Shrewsberry.

Fred Hoiberg and Chris Collins seem to have competent-enough teams this year to stave off their firings. Minnesota probably isn't going to bail on Ben Johnson this early. Of course Juwan Howard might go to the NBA but Shrewsberry is my pick. He's overqualified for Penn State having been on Brad Stevens' and Matt Painter's coaching staffs, including in the NBA with Stevens. So there might be a pro option for him, too. And Penn State is having a big year all on the back of seniors: Pickett, Wynter, Dread, and Funk are all gone after this season, and maybe Lundy too (he could take his extra fifth year). I could see him deciding to strike while the iron is hot and jumping to a better job instead of sticking around and trying to rebuild at Penn State.
