Was he the drill instructor guy I cringed for everytime I saw a clip of him treating the players like a private?

Yep. He also has a reputation as a good recruiter and was one of the primary reasons Coach Sanders fans said he had an amazing staff.

If these names are accurate, Houston may end up with a better coach than aTm.

I actually disagree. So much talent right in their back yard.

A lot of guys have parlayed that job into big pay days. Herman, Sumlin, Briles.
Sorry, what I mean is that it is a crummy job because it is a stepping stone job.
Not "crummy" for the coach that takes it and does well and leaves, crummy for the school.

Gotcha. I see it the same way.

It has to be so annoying for those schools because you know if you hire a guy and he does well, he is gone. And if he does bad, you are stuck looking for another diamond in the rough that will get poached.

it actually COULD be a good place for Frost, because there is zero pressure at that job, recruiting should be "easy" and my guess is that even if he does well there, he would probably never want a real coaching job again.

They could, if Frost took it and did well, have him there for 15 years.

Any of these coaches or their assistants or potential transfers be a good fit here?
