Prohm went 2-22 this year with zero wins in the Big 12. That gets you fired everywhere. ISU had zero intentions of firing him preseason.

Prohm was 50-71 overall in his last 4 years and 18-54 in conference play. That includes 1 season where they won the conference tournament and made the NCAAAT with 23 wins. Horrible other 3 seasons.
In the most recent 2 seasons, they were 14-41 overall and 5-31 in conference play. 14-41 overall and 5-31 in conference play. <---repeated because its worth saying again.
Recruiting has gone downhill significantly too. Oddly, they have had a few of mid-level recruits turn out to be super talented and bolt for pro careers, but otherwise its been recruits that overall dont match where the program was under Hoiberg and early Prohm years.

The media, both traditional and social, isnt up in arms because the firing makes sense.
