Will Dabo depart Clemson for SEC?

Is the Kansas coach still a hot enough commodity?

Riley has the #1 recruiting class coming next year at USC...now if he jumps can he bring them with him?
Would make him very valuable on the open market.

I disagree, if PSU comes calling..he's gone. They have money, a traditional blue blood, recruiting, and It's not that far from his home.
Just my opinion, but I think he is content to be where he is. A school where 7-8 wins every year makes him a God to the fans, he is in a crap conference where he has a better chance of winning a championship, and is making good money. Plus…doesn’t he have kids still in school?

In any case, I would love to see him leave and have ISU go back to being cellar dwellers.

So, if KU loses its final two games, don't be surprised if KU moves on from Leipold.

I really have a hard time guessing who's going to land where because in my mind, I expect a lot of coaches to stay put like Cignetti and Rhule: Lane Kiffin, Matt Campbell, even Jedd Fisch. Sometimes the grass isn't greener and I think that this cycle is so crazy coaches will question whether they're improving their situation or just setting themselves up for being fired in 2-4 years.

The one move I could see happening is PJ Fleck going somewhere else. We've owned him but he's made Minnesota respectable and I think he's reached the peak of what he can do there and they don't seem to really like him. I think he leaves and they head straight for the toilet.

Fisch is rumored for Florida as he went to school there and was an assistant there.

Riley to LSU
Campbell to Penn State
Kiffin to Florida
What else you got?

If Penn St hired Campbell their fan base would revolt. Not a chance.

Secondary question. Does the Iowa staff stay together? Or does someone like Levar or Seth W get picked for spots on other teams?

Coaching decisions these days are often a mystery to me. LV hiring 74 year old Pete Carroll (2-7)? NC hiring 73 year old Bill Belichick (4-5) for $10 million?

Heck, Urban Meyer is only 61. Someone will surely make a run at him.

These mid-season firings are strange. How many will be fired at the end of the season?

Which is another way of saying I have no idea who will land where, except I don't think Campbell is going anywhere.

My spidey sense says that our next coach will be Wallace or Lester and so I don't see them going anywhere,
Not sure about Lester, but if Wallace isn't the coach, he will be DC.

LSU: Kiffin
PSU: Hartline or Kelly
Florida: Sumrall
UCLA: Dillingham (if they want to spend)
Auburn: Drink

Reports indicate Meyer gave a dumpster fire interview at PSU due to how he'd deal with NIL recruiting.

If you’re a mid-level program like Michigan State, Kansas or even Wisconsin I wouldn’t advise firing your coach this year. You’re going to be pretty far down the pecking order as far as options. Might as well wait another year and have your buyouts decreased.

Wait what? Urban Meyer is not Nick Saban. He also comes with baggage.
That's why I said "winningest". Winningest indicates winning %. And he has the highest winning % in college football history for coaches that coached 200 games or more at over 85%. The man literally lost only 32 games in 17 years.

That's a weird *** stat, Kalen Deboer has an 87.7 winning % over 130 games. I don't think I'd lump Meyer's 3 nattys in with the greats either, but I got ya. If the interview was legit, and there are reports it was/wasn't, it illustrates how the game with NIL is changing.

I get it. I think 200 games is used as the barometer because it shows longevity.

In any case, I looked up anything I could find regarding the interview rumors, and it's literally some random sports radio personality named Zach Gelb who's saying it. And from what I can tell, the question regarding NIL appears to be Urban telling PSU that their NIL policies are too stringent and Urban would want them relaxed. So different than what you're saying.

"talks broke down over NIL policies because the university felt he wasn't prepared for the modern era." Not sure how that would convey relaxed, but regardless he isn't likely headed to PSU.

Apparently he had no plans on how to deal with NIL and current recruits.
This is what can happen when you go after a coach that has already had a lot of success and is already wealthy. He may not be hungry. Especially one that has a nice TV gig.

This is what i think might happen if Iowa were to hire Bob Stoops, for example. Hiring a household name for a job like FBS HC certainly can work, but I think there are most examples where it doesn't.

Who ever heard of Mike Elko (Texas A&M) or Curt Cignetti (Indiana) before they were hired?
