I thought he is suppose too be some type of coaching QB guru? So far, under him, our QBs have digress and can't throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field. You would hope each year they would improve in making better decisions, reading coverage, anticipating throw, etc. So far, game after game, same mistakes, bad throws, turnovers. Something is wrong and not working.

The next Joe Montana? How about a run-of-the mill dual threat quarterback who can hit open receivers when necessary. We haven't seen that for the past 3 years.

thats what we have, except we never run, nor is there any threat of a run, we just focus on passing...so they just shut that down...because we don't have a joe montana

First off you need a line that can let the QB stay in the pocket. Luke is not a good passer let alone passing while scrambling. Luke was scrambling all day then would throw late. Do they not work on that in practice? Mario was supposed to be a great QB coach but that is not panning out. Im not sure how Luke misses wide open guys or throws to them way too late.

It's college, let the athletes be athletes. Run like 10 plays and run them real well. Allow for a little variance but KISS.

Now that im started... Get wandale the ball. Purdue may have overdone it with Rondale but Frost isnt trying.

Play AM at QB and line up LMC as a hybid a la Wandale. Give him 5 snaps a game at QB.

I want to say get the young talent on the field at WR but watching 6 (Fleming?) on the final 2pt conversion was embarrassing. There's a reason older walk ons are playing. As frustrating as it is, and no matter how bad Frost is, he's better than you.

Fire Chins and find a big boy DC.

What's really frustrating is seeing small type schools have way better QBs than us. Recruiting QBs should focus on more of a passer type first and someone who run decent, not a runner first and a below average passer.
I do agree, these same players so are not cutting it. Play the younger kids, they may make mistakes but are way more athletic then the walkons NU is throwing out there each week. When you go 5 wide and 3 of them are TEs, we got issues.

Yes, Verduzco isn't doing a great job but it's much more than him. The OL coach isn't doing a good job, the play caller (Frost) isn't doing a good job, etc. So that all falls on the head coach IMO.

If Frost is calling the plays what is the new OC doing? O line play is atrocious. Holdings. False starts. Can’t snap a ball to save your ***. Did I forget blocking?
QB play is really bad and not getting better

It is only mildly frustrating small schools have way better QBs than us. What is really frustrating is from watching a lot of eastern Nebraska/western Iowa high school football this year, it appears most high schools have better QBs than us.

But then, those high school teams have a running game and keep defenses guessing as to when they will pass. When they do the defense has to respect the run and the DBs are a step slower because of it and somebody gets open. When somebody gets open the QBs throw a catchable ball and the receivers catch it. If they need 8 yards, the receivers run routes a little longer than that. And this goes on despite less than great center snaps and pass protection.

Nebraska could be a lot better IMHO if they had a core set of plays the offense ran over and over in games and practice and crafted a game plan that designed fancier stuff off of those (just like Osborne did and every successful program does). The way it is now each offensive game plan looks to be done on a blank canvas with no comfortable scheme to fall back on when things don't go their way. Not having an identity to fall back on leads to the panic and confusion that has overtaken virtually every game in the Frost tenure.

The “OC” is getting studs like Liewer, Falck, and Warner ready to play.
