Congratulations to Howells-Dodge Head Coach Mike Spiers on winning his 300th game last night against Overton. Coach Spiers is more than just a great Coach, he is an outstanding man and is truly loved by his school, players and community.

Coach Speirs is the best, how he turned Howells around from day one from never making the playoffs before he got there to making it a Dynasty. There have been a lot of talented kids come through the town but he also maxed out the talent in recent years. Most of all he is a great human, never runs up the score always gets the back ups in early so they are ready for the next season.

Coach Speirs in unbelievable, and an amazing man too. Howells had some great teams in the 90s, and it's my understanding that they weren't playoff eligible, as they were in the Cornhusker Conference. They opted to play 8 man like the rest of the conference, making them ineligible for the playoffs when they were just above the cut line. That may not be correct, but I know I've been told that several times.
