Great job by Greg. Obviously he has a very good and talented group of players to work with and he gets them ready to play. Needless to say Urban Meyer sees and knows that too. Nice win for the B1G. 5-0 so far in bowl games this year.

I believe that is Larry Johnson who is periodically rumored to be moving on to something bigger. Came from Penn State. Probably a good coach but even a better recruiter and likely responsible for getting a lot of the current DL to OSU. Urban want to make sure he knows he is appreciated.

Gameplan was “DL, attack on every play, with occasional blitzing”. Their DL was scary overpowering for USC. One announcer said that USC hadn’t seen the likes of this kind of DL yet this year.

noticed that too but don't think it was meant as a slight to greg but more accolade to LJ.
Man do I miss that aggressive Defense! Frankly I think that is where Greg belongs. Maybe as an NFL DC but he should stick to his specialty. His hard nose approach fits the D side.
Meyer and him (seem to) make a really good team.

I think Johnson went to OSU fully expecting it to be his last stop, He's 65 so I doubt he's looking to go somewhere else.

It was said last night during the game OSU plays 11 different guys along the DL. That's almost 3 completely different units. Not only are opponents facing a relentless attack from very good players but also players who are always fresh.

The reason he mentioned Johnson is because penis head at PSU was negative recruiting D line prospects by saying Johnson is old and is going to retire.

Tyreke Smith let the cat out of the bag to the coaching staff on what PedSU was doing.

So LJ posted that tweet and recently in interviews Meyer has been pushing how great LJ is and how he will be around.

O no did you guys lose a 5 star? And have to slum it with only getting 4 stars. O woe is me. Try schlepping through this league with 3 and 2 stars, it's work out great for us.

I wanted him here after the "Floodster" was let go hell at least we'd have a talented roster if he didn't succeed when the B1G $$$ started rolling in

So - if Schiano could write his own ticket, what would be the destination?
- a P5 HC spot vs an NFL HC spot?
... and if not - then
- DC @ OHIO STATE vs DC at a winning NFL team?

sort of wounder if Matt Patricia gets an HC spot - would there be a call to Schiano to take that open spot in NE? would he be interested?

Meyers expertise is on the offensive side of the ball not defense. And I think their offense has been average at best. A lot of their points have been scored off defensive turnovers.

Maybe he didn't recruit 4 or 5 star linemen, but he developed guys that played like 4 and 5 stars. Eric Foster, Ramel Meekins, Jamal Westerman, etc.

He could not do this at Rutgers so I would not give him much props.

He does deserve that and more. Life is rarely fair but a team that wants to win will usually pay through the nose for the chance.

Westerman? Solid. Foster and Meekins were In 2006. Two years a this kids. Then the DL was a week spot year after year. And I think Schiano is a good coach. And yes. he should have gotten the Tenn job but his weakest area by far is DL coaching and recruiting. He put a lot of DBs in the NFL. DL. One guy. Hes also the same moron who decided 230 punt DTs were a good idea. Please. Vallone who was a good tackle was forced to play out position as the nose at 270. Someone now he's the reason Ohio St is great. This place is full of morons. Tennessee isn't the only clueless fan base.
