Do you think MN is 8 points better than the Huskers?
I mean how would anyone know that seriously? It's April. Sure we have a lot of optimism right now. But new coaches, new systems and first game. I have no idea what to expect.

Or any day, just a glorified wrap imo

A wrap is a tortilla, a Runza is stuffed bread. That being said, no one makes them better than my mother or my grandmother, God rest her soul. Actually my oldest daughter has become very adept at making them as well, she sent me these pics this winter. The square ones she made special for her husband, with havarti cheese.

I see this game as a push... Home teams usually get 7 points in college, leaving 1 point to play with. NU had Minn dead to rights last year until Whipple got smarter than the HC. I look for NU to win by two scores...

Home field isn't worth 7 pts anywhere

Dude. I don't need to watch the whole thing. I'm not even 5 minutes into and I want to suit up for Big Red. Wild. If he can win football games, he's everything we could ever hope for. He's already sold me and everyone he's spoken to about his vision. (Trev sold him that vision)

It's not really worth discussing his NFL stint, but I would say the jury is still out on Rhule just because he hopped from a G5 to a P5 to the NFL pretty quickly, so it's not yet certain that he can sustain the 10-win seasons he accomplished at Temple and Baylor.
Seems the harder thing would be to get 10 win seasons, then to maintain them. My hope is that he gets 10 and wants to stay for 10+ years.

I agree. We will get to Pelini level quickly but the talent gap will show against elite teams like Ohio state. But the longer we are better the more talent we will reel in and that can change. We have a real leader. Everything he does and says has intention and itll make a big difference.

Because he "gets it" I disagree with those saying we will turn on him after his first loss. If we have another 3-4 win season and we are playing sloppy that's another story. I just cant see it though
Pelini level success, except better with the media and the fans. And perhaps not getting boat raced by Wisconsin year in and year out

I wouldn’t worry. Rhule’s done nothing but inject our program with talent since he arrived. We may crack Rivals top 30 again this year…
I’m not worried. Just think it sounds miserable to believe that we aren’t gonna be any good.

Well, it is. I get that we’re gonna need to win some games to attract better talent, and that better coaching-up of average talent can’t hurt that transition… just think it’s pretty irrational thinking that we’re gonna see a night-and-day difference with the talent we currently have. Think 6 wins would be a huge improvement, IMHO.

This is probably the most logical level we can expect. Just based on his track record so far. Recruiting will be the difference maker as to whether he can get us above that. And as bad as I hate to keep beating this dead horse, DR could be (or could have been) the major difference maker in that department. Once in a lifetime opportunity there. Hope it's not over, but I'm afraid it might be.
