I’ve heard CFB media pods about how VT firing Pry in season(who is now the DC there lol) allowed them to get their house in order and pursue Franklin. He was actually stringing them along a little while waiting on FSU to see if they might fire Norvell last offseason. I think one or two deadlines passed before they pushed him and then he took the job. Once there isn’t a sitting head coach you can have things ready and go out in earnest.

Yeah, agreed. The season is lost, so there needs to be a reason to dump GS now versus in 2 months. Are there any coaches to pressure test as interims? If no, then what's the point.
