He should be. But I bet there are dozens of coaches at the D1 level who have covered up the same thing.

If true...he should be done. You have a player committing multiple rapes and you were told and don't even investigate it. He should be fired and whatever else they can do to him.

He mentored Hugh Freeze, where do you think he learned it.
Timing is suspect. I'd wait for further information before declaring him woke guilty.

There was plenty of “I told you so” and other innuendo being thrown around from BR locals after his recent arrest. Really a shame.

My general rule of thumb is to remember that these type allegations are only allegations and there may be another side to the story. But there's a lot of smoke with this one.

I agree. But here is the thing. I don't think under Title IX it matters if they are true or not. The violation comes when they refuse to even properly investigate.

There will be Title IX paperwork, or someone will lose their job.

If there is paperwork, depending on what it says, someone(s) could still lose their job(s).

I expect that the school that ignored boosters embezzling funds directly to the athletic department from children’s cancer hospital is totally going to do the right thing here***

That doesnt even make sense to me. It sounds like what someone would say, serious or not whatever, if you were told, Coach, Guice 17d my woman" - it's not even in the same ball park as a response to "Guice raped my girlfriend."

Would they be stupid enough to say this though?

Obviously the story Orgeron was told or that he was going with was that the girl 17ed guice and now regretted it and there was tension between Guice and the boyfriend now, not that she was raped.
And unfortunately it’s incredibly hard to Distinguish between evil rapists that take advantage of girls because they’re drunk and participants in drunken hookups, because it’s easy for rapists to pose as the latter and incredibly hard to disprove. And the number of the latter greatly outnumber the former, which makes it even easier for the rapists.

On either side, what ever happened to being accountable for actions? Don’t know if ** applies or not.

What was the saying down at LSU a few years ago when the QB was accused of being in a bar fight? "Hey, that blood on his shoe could have come from anybody's head."

These types of situations (i.e., actual rapes versus drunken hookups later regretted versus outright lies to get revenge/paid) are absolute nightmares.
