Not throwing shade, trying to be funny, nor unbiased, but coach K will go down infamously as the most least respected rivalry coaches in UK history.
Coaches such as Knight, Crum, Dale Brown, Don DeVoe, Houston, Roy Williams, Dean Smith, Crean, Sampson, Pitino (yes, I listed him) and so many more will all somehow garner my respect, even if a little, more than K! It even irks me to see his name posted in this thread title.

I’ve heard Scheyer is being prepped and will take over once K retires. Sounds like a within the family hire is the way they will go whenever it happens

It’s eerily similar to the Mike Davis hire. Both are assistants to a legendary coach and both are considered great recruiters. Lol, duke will become indiana 2.0.
If K leaves, with Williams already retiring, and the staff Cal has put together, then there is no reason that Cal should not dominate for the next several years.

This whole "in the family" thing that UNC and Duke are obsessed with is because they are desperate to keep their cheating hidden from the outside world even though it has blaring blinking neon lights all over it.
